Beast (2022) Film Second Day Collection in India – Both Hindi and South Indian Belts Thursday biz Report

Thalapathy Vijay starrer Tollywood action comedy film Beast which was released in theatres yesterday on 13 April 2022, has received a grand opening of ͅ₹ 35 crores at box office India which is just superb but unfortunately it seems that this film which has been written and directed by Nelson won’t be able to enjoy such great run at box office as its biggest competitor KGF Chapter 2 has been released in cinemas today. Beast was released with very mixed reviews as many critics completely rejected this film by calling it a big mess while some said that it is one of the best films of Vijay till date as far as the action sequences are concerned. Comedy scenes seems to be the biggest lacklustre part of Beast as most of the critics and experts did not liked its comic sequences and humour punches at all.

As per popular film trade expert Ramesh Bala, Beast sold about 1.7 million tickets on BookMyShow till Thursday (14 April 2022) evening but he did not mentioned about how many of those tickets got cancelled because as per our information many people cancelled their tickets of Beast after seeing the amazing positive reviews of KGF Chapter 2.

Beast has been released in Hindi dubbed versions as well as that version is titled as RAW but in the Hindi belts people seemed to be more inclined towards watching KGF Chapter 2 at the moment. It seems that the makers of Beast have committed a huge blunder by opting to clash their film against KGF 2 because the hype of Prashanth Neel’s periodic action film was even bigger then that of RRR and in this regard Bollywood film Jersey makers made the right call by postponing their film by a week.

Beast has been made with a overall budget of ₹ 150 crores and the shocking fact is that its budget is bigger then that of KGF 2 but still Rocking Star Yash starrer has completely overshadowed Beast at box office India. Although makers of Beast will easily recover the budget of this film with its lifetime biz and surely they will earn profits with the OTT deal and by selling Satellite rights but still makers have taken a huge gamble by releasing it alongside KGF 2 and this wrong call will bite them in the long run.

Overall occupancy rate of Beast on Day 2 across India has been estimated around 65% – 75% which is still too good judging from the fact that KGF 2 dominated most of the Hindi belts and South Indian belts on 14 April 2022. Although public feedback is not good for Beast as many are calling it a flop. People have not liked the premise of Beast and only because of Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde people are still giving it a chance.

2nd Day (Thursday) Collection of Beast in India is  ₹ 22 crores (approximately)
