Not only that but KGF 2 has taken the whole Hindi belt of India by storm as only from its Hindi dubbed version this film has earned a hefty sum of ₹ 53.95 crores which is the highest day 1 opening for any Hindi film till date. KGF 2 has surpassed the day 1 box office collection of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer WAR and with this achievement Rocking Star Yash has successfully cemented his place as a PAN Indian superstar.
Right now KGF 2 also holds the record of 2nd biggest Day 1 opener at Box Office India as recently released S.S. Rajamouli directorial RRR still holds the no. 1 spot. KGF 2 has been benefitted a lot due to the Baisakhi Holiday release but still credit should be given where its due because despite of getting tough competition from Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast and also Ram Charan & Jr. NTR’S RRR, KGF 2 has still managed to achieve such great records.
KGF 2 has also surpassed the lifetime Hindi biz of KGF Chapter 1 only with its day 1 biz as KGF Part 1 collected ₹ 44.09 crores from its Hindi version lifetime biz but KGF Chapter 2 grossed ₹ 53.95 crores at day 1 and this shows how far director Prashanth Neel and Rocking Starr Yash has arrived as far as their mass appeal is concerned.
Overall budget of KGF Chapter 2 is ₹ 100 crores and this film has already earned around ₹ 34.50 crores in profits from its day 1 India biz only and if trade analysts & experts are to be believed then there are high chances that KGF 2 might earn more then ₹ 500 crores at Indian box office.
Makers have already hinted at KGF Chapter 3 as there were clear hints of that in the post credit scene of KGF 2. There is a high possibility that we might get to see Rocky Bhai alias Yash going international in KGF 3 and surely if that happens then the production value of the third part will be a lot higher.
On Friday 15 April 2022, KGF 2 dominated the whole Indian box office yet again. In the Hindi markets KGF 2 is absolutely thrashing both Thalapathy Vijay’s RAW as well as Rajamouli’s RRR at the moment. Audience feedback which we get to hear from the viewers in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Jammu is just mind boggling. People were seen calling Yash as the modern day Amitabh Bachchan.
Almost all of the evening and night shows of KGF 2 went houseful in the Northern parts of India. KGF 2 Day 2 overall occupancy rate has been estimated around 75% – 95% which is absolutely terrific as today (Friday 15 April 2022) was a working day and not a holiday in India. There are high chances that KGF 2 will witness some major growth in its business on the coming Saturday and Sunday due to the weekend.
