by Indian actress Parineeti Chopra, along with her politician husband Raghav Chadha, is set to appear as a special guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3, Episode 7. Streaming exclusively on Netflix, viewers will get to see top talents like Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Krushna Abhishek making both Parineeti and Raghav (as well as the judges) laugh with their witty rhetoric throughout this episode.
Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu will once again take the hot seat as judges. This marks Parineeti’s second appearance on the show; she previously appeared in Season 1 alongside Diljit Dosanjh to promote her film titled Amar Singh Chamkila.
The episode started with Kapil Sharma introducing the guests: Indian actress Parineeti Chopra and the youngest Indian MP from Rajya Sabha, Raghav Chadha. Raghav came on stage barefoot, and Kapil asked him, “Did you make a wish that if you married Parineeti, then you’d come on Kapil’s show barefoot?” Raghav replied, “I was sitting backstage and someone stole my shoes.”
Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda then came on stage dressed as female security guards, Sona and Mona. They both started calling Raghav “Jiju, Jiju” and asked him for a shagun (money) in return for his shoes. Raghav said, jokingly, “They want to get money out of a politician’s pocket.”
Raghav and Parineeti played the traditional ring-finding game, often played by newly married couples, and Raghav purposely let Parineeti win.
Kapil asked Raghav and Parineeti about their first meeting, to which Parineeti responded, “We met in London.” Raghav said that after that meeting, she opened her laptop and searched on Google, and Parineeti admitted, “I searched for Raghav Chadha’s height.” Raghav told Parineeti that he is taller than her.
Kapil asked Raghav, “Is winning an election more difficult or winning your wife’s heart?” Raghav responded, “Elections need to be won once every five years, but you have to win your wife’s heart every single hour.” Kapil agreed, saying that winning your wife’s heart is challenging, and then he joked to Navjot Singh Sidhu that if a political party is not happy with you, you can always switch parties. Sidhu replied that there is no bigger ‘co-wife’ than politics.
Parineeti joked with Navjot Singh Sidhu, saying, “You should have given me some guidance before my marriage to Raghav, as Google didn’t tell me any of this.” Raghav, in a humorous manner, quipped to Sidhu, “You’re adding fuel to the fire.”
Sunil Grover then arrived on stage dressed as his popular character, Diamond Raja, and entertained Raghav and Parineeti with his comedic punchlines.
Raghav shared with Kapil that whatever Parineeti says, the opposite happens: “She said she’d never marry a politician, and she ended up marrying one. Now, every day I tell her to say that Raghav Chadha will never ever become the Prime Minister of India, so that I eventually become Prime Minister!
The show ended with Kapil bidding farewell to Raghav and Parineeti, thanking them for coming on his show and wishing them all the best in their married life.
