Episode 21 of MasterChef India Season 9 featured the remaining 10 pairs of contestants competing in an Organ Mystery Box Challenge. The stakes were higher than ever, as the pair behind the weakest dish would go straight to the Black Apron Challenge, putting them at risk of elimination by the end of the week.
Famous Indian Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Diet Expert Acharya Manish Ji appeared as a special guest on this episode. The three judges (Vikas Khanna, Kunal Kapur, and Ranveer Brar) were seen observing the contestants closely while they cooked, and those with the best dishes received well-deserved praise and compliments.

At the start of Episode 21, all 10 pairs of contestants entered the MasterChef kitchen, where they were welcomed by the judges and host Paritosh Tripathi. Soon after, the special guest for the evening, Acharya Manish Ji, arrived, and the Organ Mystery Box Challenge was announced.
Rules for the Organ Mystery Box Challenge
- There were five different types of Organ Mystery Boxes, each featuring ingredients representing a different body organ.
- Two pairs were allotted the same type of mystery box, one had to make a savoury dish, and the other had to make a sweet dish using the same ingredients.
- A minimum of four ingredients from the mystery box had to be used.
- The time limit to cook was 60 minutes.
- The pair that prepared the weakest dish would go straight to the Black Apron Challenge.

- Yasmin Ansari and Mehfooz Ansari – Liver and Pancreas
- Anju Pradhan and Manju Ojha – Heart and Blood
- Avni Sharma and Venu Sharma – Heart and Blood
- Simran Vohra and Himanshi Vohra – Bones and Joints
- SaiSri Rachakonda and Chandana Rachakonda – Bones and Joints
- Archana Dhotre and Rupali Jadhav – Stomach
- Dipali Bihani and Jamuna Somani – Stomach
- Arshmeet Singh and Prabhdeep Kaur – Brain
- Himang Soni and Parvati Soni – Brain
Who Made Savoury and Who Made Sweet Dishes?
As Simran and Himanshi delivered the best dish during the Restaurant Takeover Challenge, they earned the advantage of deciding which pairs would make sweet dishes and which would make savoury ones during the Organ Mystery Box Challenge. Their choices were as follows:

Best Dish
- SaiSri Rachakonda and Chandana Rachakonda – “Old is Gold”
The sweet dish Old is Gold, prepared by SaiSri and Chandana, was selected as the best dish of the Organ Mystery Box Challenge. It excelled in taste, innovation, and presentation. The duo even earned a spoon tap from judge Ranveer Brar.
Weakest Dish
- Himang Soni and Parvati Soni – “Swarna Bite”
The dish Swarna Bite, prepared by the mother–son duo from Gujarat, was chosen as the weakest dish of the challenge. The judges expressed disappointment with both its taste and presentation. As a result, Himang and Parvati will compete in the Black Apron Challenge later this week to save themselves from elimination.
