by Today on MasterChef India Season 7 episode 10 on 13 January 2023, unsafe contestants went through a pressure test while wearing black apron and they were told to replicate two dishes by Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar. Contestants were given a recipe on the counter to make a carbon copy of Vikas and Ranveer’s iconic dishes. One contestant got eliminated by the end of the black apron pressure test.
All the unsafe contestants came wearing black aprons and Vikas Khanna tells contestants that today they have will have to go through a pressure test in which they have to replicate two different dishes made by Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar. By the end of the pressure test 5 contestants will get safe while one contestant will get eliminated.

Ranveer Brar tells the contestants that they will get recipes on the counter to replicate their dishes.
- Priyanka Kundu Biswas, Urmila Baa, and Vineet have to cook Chef Vikas Khanna’s dish
- Yashu, Sachin Khatwani, and Santa Sarmah have to cook Chef Ranveer Brar’s dish
Amul Pantry and Fortune Pantry along with Pushp Masala’s Pantry will remain close for the home cooks. Contestants will get a time limit of 2 hours to replicate the dishes.
Urmila Baa was having a tough time with the eggs and contestants in the gallery started helping her. Priyanka Kundu Biswas sees Baa struggling while cooking cake and she came to help her. Chef Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna were giving advices to the contestants who were replicating their dishes.
Contestants from the gallery were calling Priyanka Kundu Biswas hero of the day for helping Baa. Vikas Khanna guides Urmila baa on how to whip eggs with the egg beater machine. Finally the time limit gets over and unsafe contestants were told to step back from their platforms.
Chef Vikas Khanna, Garima Arora, and Ranveer Brar started tasting the replica dishes one by one :
Priyanka Kundu Biswas came first with Durian Ka Taj dish replica and she told that she helped Baa because she wanted to see the mirror next day and doesn’t wanted to live in guilty. Garima loved the perfectly tempered chocolate in the dish and Ranveer Brar said that her dish has a wonderful sargam.
Urmila Baa came with her Durian Ka Taj dish next and Garima said that her hunger to learn is very inspiring. Vikas said that the dish is not a perfect replica but her cake is almost perfect in terms of taste and all the elements on the plate are delicious. Ranveer Brar said that to bring a dish on this level while cooking it for the first time is next to impossible. Vikas Khanna said that her cake is almost perfect in terms of taste and all the elements on the plate are delicious.
Sachin Khatwani came with Tyohar dish replica next and Chef Ranveer Brar said after tasting it that Sachin came very close to making the replica dish. Sachin’s fish got overcooked as per Garima.
Vineet came with Chef Vikas Khanna’s replica dish next and Ranveer Brar said that he has replicated the presentation really well. Chef’s tasted the replica dish and Vikas said that it is perfect. Ranveer Brar said that he has captured all the minor details.
Santa Sarmah came with Tyohar dish next and she told Chef’s that she had difficulty while making mayonnaise. Ranveer Brar said that the execution is very good but she has put a bit more mustard in the sauce. Garima said after tasting the dish that she is glad that Santa is learning.
Finally Yashu came with Tyohar replica dish and Ranveer Brar said that the lobster is overcooked.
Finally Chef’s announced the results of the first Black Apron pressure test and they announced the names of the safe contestants as well as first eliminated home cook :
