Kannada sequel action drama film KGF Chapter 2 is continuously rocking all the mass circuits at India box office due to which this Prashanth Neel directorial has earned ₹ 143.64 crores in the first three days. KGF 2 is doing great at both metros and rural areas of India which helped this film in getting the biggest 3 days opening for any Hindi film in India till date. On day 3 KGF 2 made a box office collection of ₹ 42.90 crores which is absolutely mind boggling and all credit for this grand success goes to Rocking Star Yash for successfully putting Kannada film industry on the map of mainstream Indian cinema. KGF Chapter 1 which was released back in 21 December 2018 only collected ₹ 44.09 crores from its lifetime biz at Hindi belts but its sequel KGF Chapter 2 is on a record breaking spree at the moment.

KGF Chapter 2 has been made with a medium budget of ₹ 100 crores and by grossing ₹ 419 crores in the first three days at Global box office, this film has already managed to earn around ₹ 319 crores in profits. Makers of KGF 2 already hinted at its upcoming third part in the post credits scene of the film and with the blockbuster success of this film, it appears that we might not have to wait much long for the release of KGF Chapter 3 in cinemas.
Not only in Hindi belts but KGF Chapter 2 is also completely ruling over the Southern key box office markets of India. In the Tamil Nadu state, KGF 2 has beaten Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast for the third consecutive day on Saturday 16 April 2022. Despite the fact that Beast was a Tamil action film and makers of that film were targeting Tamil Nadu as their major key market but still Kannada film KGF 2 totally overshadowed Beast in its backyard.
Recently Bollywood’s Queen Kangana Ranaut praised Rocking Star Yash for his brilliant acting performance in KGF 2 by posting a Instagram Story and this is what she said, “@thenameisyash is the angry young man India was missing since many decades…He fills that void which Mr Amitabh Bachchan left since seventies… Wonderful (clapping emojis).”
Bollywood directors seems to be having shivers down their spines right now seeing the back to back success of these South Indian films as recently Jersey makers postponed the release of the film by a week to avoid the clash with KGF 2 on April 14 and earlier Aamir Khan’s starrer Laal Singh Chaddha also delayed its April 14 release as its too risky for these B-town films right now to have a direct clash with these South Indian biggies.
KGF 2 overall occupancy rate on Day 4 has been estimated around 85% – 100% and these figures are just incredible. On Sunday 17 April 2022, almost all of its evening and night shows received fully packed crowds in theatres in the Hindi belts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Delhi, and Jammu. The real test for KGF 2 will start from tomorrow (Monday 18 April 2022) as we will get an idea about its lifetime biz but without any doubt this Kannada sequel film has absolutely knocked it out of the park in the opening weekend as far as box office collections in India are concerned.
4th Day (Sunday) Collection of KGF 2 in India is ₹ 130 crores (approximately)
