Storyline
The Korean medical hospital system has been suffering from the White Mafia Syndicate ever since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred. It is filled with greed for money, discrimination between the rich and the poor when deciding treatment priorities, a shortage of well-qualified and skilled doctors, and bootlicking by young interns and doctors toward their higher-ups in order to get undeserved promotions.
To break free from all these shackles and clean-sweep the entire White Mafia Syndicate, Gye Su-jeong, also known as Doctor X, steps in. She is a highly skilled doctor who prioritizes the success of her surgeries without thinking about money, pleasantries, parties, events, or even what her fellow doctors and higher-ups think about her.
Although she is a big-time food lover, Gye Su-jeong’s only goal is the well-being of her patients. Even if it comes at the cost of disrespecting her senior doctors, she will not take a step back. She works as a freelancer through the agency of her aunt, Jang Hui-suk.
Gye Su-jeong also has a mysterious past marked by a deeply emotional tragedy, which makes her even more determined to achieve her goal of cleaning up the White Mafia Syndicate.
