Following the trend of releasing PAN India films, Beast makers committed a big blunder at box office as the Hindi dubbed version of the Tamil action comedy film has been completely washed out. The Nelson directorial film which features the pair of Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde in main leads was released earlier this week in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions but unfortunately even its Tamil version is struggling to earn satisfactory amount of money at box office India right now. Beast was the first ever PAN India film of Thalapathy Vijay but now it seems that he has to come up with a much better film to rock at the Hindi belts of India.
Even 3 and a half week old film RRR is earning much better then Beast in many parts of India right now. The biggest problem with Beast is its lacklustre plot and for this director & writer Nelson should be blamed. Thalapathy Vijay is not a established star across India right now and still even after being aware of that makers made a bad call by taking the gamble of releasing this film in multiple languages simultaneously.
Beast has already lost almost 95% of its screens in the Hindi belts of India because the screens which were being earlier allocated to Beast are now being allotted to RRR and KGF 2 by single screen cinemas and even by PVR’s & multiplexes. Even in Southern key markets of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, Beast has lost a lot of screens in the first 4 days and surely the future is not looking bright for this movie.
Earlier everyone was saying that Beast is a victim of bad release timing but now after seeing that RRR is earning better then this movie, it seems that the problem is not with the timing of the release instead its about the poor quality of the content. Touted as a action comedy film, Beast has absolutely failed to make audience giggle in the cinema halls as most of its comic sequences are not funny at all.
Beast has been completely thrashed by KGF Chapter 2 on Sunday at box office India. In the Hindi belts this film has very few shows left running on screens and even RRR is surpassing its income in these regions. Beast Day 5 overall occupancy rate across India has been estimated around 47% – 57% which is slightly better as compared to Saturday but still not satisfactory. We are expecting a steep decline in the overall box of business of Beast on Monday 18 April 2022.
5th Day (Sunday) Collection of Beast in India is ₹ 18 crores (approximately)
