WWE RAW 28 July 2020 Full Show Results, Segments Highlights Written Details

Randy Orton challenged Drew McIntyre at todays episode of RAW also Asuka and Sasha Banks faced each other to find out the new RAW Women’s champion. Drew McIntyre gave Dolph Ziggler another opportunity but this time with a stipulation of his own choice. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax had a pull apart brawl and many officials fallen victim to that. MVP offers Mustafa Ali to join the Hurt Business faction.

WWE RAW 28 July 2020 Winners and Losers

1. The Viking Raiders vs. Cedric Alexander and Ricochet vs. Angel Garza and Andrade (with Zelina Vega) Triple Threat Tag Team Maatch (Winner gets to face current tag champions at Summerslam 2020)

Winners – Angel Garza and Andrade (with Zelina Vega)

Losers – The Viking Raiders, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet

Andrade stomps Erik at ringsde and slams Ivar into the barricade with Angel Garza. Andrade and Garza take control of the match and Andrade drills Erik with double knees. Garza and Ricochet tag in and Ricochet hits Garza with a flurry of strikes. A standing Shooting Star Press isn’t enough for a three count. Andrade nails a rolling elbow but Andrade gets floored with a nasty knee from Erik. Ivar dives off the top onto almost everyone at ringside. Garza capitalizes by hitting a Wingclipper on Alexander for the win. The winners stare down the champions, who give their challengers a round of applause. Garza and Andrade attack the champions and run away.

2. Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler Singles Match

Winner – No Result Double Countout

Loser – No Result Double Count-out

Nia Jax attacks Shayna Baszler before the match begins and it immediately descends into a brawl outside the ring. The two competitors keep brawling at ringside, even as they get counted out. Jax and Baszler attacked security officials who try to break up the fight. One official gets between the duo, and Jax shoves him into Baszler. Jax rips his shirt off and kicks him out of the ring. Officials restrain Baszler and Jax hits her with a shoulder block. The two women stare each other down.

3. Mustafa Ali vs. Bobby Lashley (with MVP and Shelton Benjamin) Singles Match

Winner – Bobby Lashley

Loser – Mustafa Ali

Bobby Lashley violently throws Mustafa Ali into the ring post and into the barricade. MVP talks some trash to the fallen Ali. Lashley rolls Ali back into the ring and gets a two count. The Almighty grounds Ali and hits him with a Flatliner for a two count. Ali reverses the Dominator and rocks Lashley with a kick. A satellite DDT gives Ali some breathing room. Lashley dodges a 450 Splash and makes Ali tap out to the Full Nelson. Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin stand tall after the match.

4. Asuka (with Kairi Sane) vs. Sasha Banks (with Bayley) WWE RAW Women’s Championship Match

Winner – Sasha Banks

Loser – Asuka

Sasha Banks hits a Frog Splash for a two count and locks in a Bank Statement, but Asuka escapes. Banks sends Asuka crashing to the floor. She slams Asuka knee-first onto the broadcast table. Asuka barely avoids getting counted out. Banks talks more trash but Asuka rolls her up for a two count. Banks locks her in the Bank Statement again. Asuka counters into an ankle lock but Banks escapes. Backstage, Bayley attacks Kairi Sane, The assault distracts Asuka. Sane screams Asuka’s name, and Asuka runs to the back. Asuka gets counted out, so Banks wins the title. Bayley runs away from Asuka. Bayley and Banks celebrate after the match.

5. Buddy Murphy vs. Humberto Carrillo Singles Match

Winner – Buddy Murphy

Loser – Humberto Carrillo

Humberto Carrillo hits a pump kick but Buddy Murphy drills Carrillo with a knee in mid-air. Murphy’s Law earns The Disciple the victory.

6. Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler Extreme Rules match

Winner – Drew McIntyre

Loser – Dolph Ziggler

Before the match, Drew McIntyre addresses Randy Orton’s comments. He accepts Ortn’s challenge to a match at WWE SummerSlam. The champion acknowledges that he doesn’t have Orton’s impressive list of accomplishments. McIntyre says he knows everyone thinks he’s the underdog, and he says Brock Lesnar underestimated him, too. McIntyre told him he’ll see the Claymore coming. Ziggler came to the ring and demands to know the stipulation. McIntyre says Ziggler inspired him; this bout will be an Extreme Rules Match, but this time, those rules apply to McIntyre, too. McIntyre clotheslines Ziggler and suplexes him. Ziggler hits a Fameasser, but McIntyre superplexes him. Ziggler hits a Zig Zag out of nowhere for a two count. McIntyre hits a Claymore through a table for the win. After the match, Randy Orton drops McIntyre with an RKO and grabs the WWE Championship. He raises it over McIntyre’s fallen body.

WWE RAW 28 July 2020 All Segments Updates

1. Randy Orton enters the ring and says that he’s been called several names throughout his career. He recaps his impressive accomplishments. Orton says his longevity and consistency are superior to Steve Austin and The Rock. Orton vows to continue to do whatever he wants. The Viper says something’s missing; he wants to be WWE Champion again. Orton says that Drew McIntyre used to be the Chosen One, and after a rough path of strugging, he fought his way back to the top of WWE. The Viper said he respects McIntyre, but he said the champion has a problem because he has what Orton wants. Orton said he wants a WWE Championship match at WWE SummerSlam and when he takes the title, McIntyre will never see it coming.

2. Nia Jax enters the ring and says that she knows exactly how Randy Orton feels because she wants to be the RAW Women’s Champion. She says she was screwed out of her chances at the title. She points to Charlotte Flair’s absence after Jax attacked her. Shayna Baszler interrupts Jax and says nobody cares about what she wants. Jax attacks Baszler and the two women brawl. Officials rush to the ring and try to separate them.

3. The Street Profits preview the triple threat tag team match, where the winner will earn a WWE RAW Tag Team Championship at WWE SummerSlam. Montez Ford jokes about how the Viking Warriors could have stopped Thanos from snapping half of the population out of existence. The champions act as special guest ring announcers for the triple threat tag team match.

4. Backstage, Seth Rollins asks Buddy Murphy if he’s with him. Murphy wonders if Dominik Mysterio will show up, and Rollins thinks he will. He tells Murphy not to worry because the greater good will move forward. Rollins tells Murphy to trust him because tonight will be different.

5. Seth Rollins enters the ring and recaps his victory over Rey Mysterio at WWE Extreme Rules and his triumph over Aleister Black. But Rollins says he’s not in a great mood because Dominik Mysterio plans to confront him. The Monday Night Messiah says people are always standing in his way. Rollins says these people always get hurt throughout his mission. “That’s not how I want things to be,” said Rollins. The Monday Night Messiah recaps the last time he saw Dominik and promises that tonight will be different. Rollins says he has a soft spot for the Mysterio family and invites Dominik to the ring so they can talk this out. Dominik comes to the stage and Rollins promises that he won’t hurt him. Dominik reluctantly gets into the ring. Seth Rollins says he’s a benevolent man, so he’s giving Dominik the opportunity to say what he needs to say. Rollins opens his arms for a hug and Dominik tackles him. Dominik punches Rollins, but Murphy and the Monday Night Messiah gang up on him. Both men violently stomp Dominik at ringside. They throw him into the barricade. Rollins screams at Dominik and tosses him into the broadcast table. “This isn’t my fault,” Rollins says. “I didn’t want it to come to violence.” Aleister Black tries to save Dominik, but Rollins and Murphy attack him, too. Murphy drills Black with a knee and stomps him. Rollins hits Black with a Stomp on the floor. He tells Murphy that he has to do something. He asks Murphy if he’s actually in this. Rollins slaps him. Murphy drags Black to the steps and drives his eye into the sharp steel. Officials tend to Black. Dominik attacks Murphy and Rollins with a kendo stick. Rollis and Murphy run away.

6. Backstage, R-Truth asks Mustafa Ali if he’s going after the WWE 24/7 Championship and says he’s watching him.

7. At MVP VIP Lounge segment, MVP enters the ring with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. He recaps the Hurt Business’ defeat last week at the hands of Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet. MVP says he wants to help Ali see the light and welcomes Ali to the VIP Lounge. MVP says people who make the wrong decisions are the Hurt Business’ enemies. Ali says he’s happy to be back, that he’s on WWE RAW and that he has the opportunity to be a real champion. MVP says Ali deserves credit because he’s talented. MVP says he can accomplish all of his goals if he makes the right decision. Ali says he’s not buying what MVP is selling. MVP says Ali isn’t thinking clearly, and he’s going to face Lashley, the C.E.O. of the Hurt Business, tonight. MVP reminds Ali of what happened to Apollo Crews. He says he’ll send Ali back home. “You can be a champion or you can be chum in the waters,” MVP says. Ali still rejects the offer, and R-Truth attacks Shelton Benjamin. He tries to pin the WWE 24/7 Champion, but Benjamin kicks out. Truth runs away.

8. In an interview backstage, Dolph Ziggler says he doesn’t know what stipulation Drew McIntyre has picked. Ziggler vows to defeat McIntyre.

9. Backstage, Charly Caruso says Kairi Sane is being medically evaluated. Sasha Banks and Bayley keep celebrating and they leave, Asuka leaves the trainer’s room and angrily screams.
