WWE RAW 18 December 2023 Written Updates, Results, Ratings, Highlights, Match Card, Segments, and More

Tonight’s 18 December 2023 episode of RAW was the final one of this year and we saw new women’s tag team champions getting crowned. GUNTHER and the Miz stole the show by putting on a match of the year contender. Cody Rhodes gave Shinsuke Nakamura a taste of his own medicine.

Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre were seen confronting each other in a promo battle, which ended in a brawl. Kofi Kingston was seen dressed up as Santa Claus for the entire night and he was having fun backstage. In the main event, the Creed Brothers squared-off against Judgement Day’s ‘Damian Priest and Finn Balor’ in a WWE Undisputed tag team championship match.

WWE RAW 18 December 2023 All Segments Highlights

  • Judgement Day opened the show and Rhea Ripley made the announcement they will be running the RAW show in 2024, just like 2023. R-Truth interrupts them and he said that last week’s beatdown was his initiation to Judgement Day. Truth offers to squash the beef by doing a Miracle on 34th Street Fight against JD McDonagh with loser leaves Judgement Day stipulation. Damian Priest accepts.
  • Nia Jax came to the ring and before Nia can say anything at all, Becky Lynch showed up, and Nia leaves the ring. Lynch dares Nia to say what she has to say about her to her face, and Nia says that as much as she would like to break her face again, she has more important matters, and that she was going to announce that she is entering the women’s Royal Rumble. Becky says that the crowd cares more about her being her and that she has come around for a fight, and Nia says they have never fought because “they” are afraid of what she would do to Becky. Nia further says Becky is the money-maker of the company and that if they went one-on-one, it would end. She says Becky is the size of her leg and that she would break her face all over again. Becky says that she will fight anyone, any time, anywhere, and that Nia, not “them”, is the one person keeping this from happening, and that Nia does not want the fight to happen so she does not lose her notoriety from breaking Becky’s nose. Becky further says that if Nia wants to prove her wrong, all she has to do is fight her right here and right now. Nia Jax calls for a referee, then teases getting in the ring only to tell Becky she will not get her fight and that it will happen on her terms. She then says that it will happen in her hometown of San Diego at Day 1 in two weeks, and that Becky’s daughter will ask Becky why she is uglier than usual. As Nia turns around and brags about breaking Becky’s face again, Becky runs out of the ring and gets on top of Nia. Nia ends up laying down Becky with a cheap shot from behind.
  • Backstage – Kofi Kingston in the disguise of Santa Claus meets DIY, and Johnny Gargano gets a Jey Uso shirt for his son. DIY then meets with The Miz and thanked him for last week, then Jackie Redmond interviews The Miz. The Miz tells Jackie that the boulder at the top of the mountain is sturdy but the foundation is cracked, and when he rattled GUNTHER, GUNTHER showed a bit of personality. Miz says that GUNTHER is the one feeling the pressure as he says he will become a nine-time Intercontinental Champion.
  • Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci congratulates GUNTHER on his great performance earlier tonight and GUNTHER tells them that they have not right to celebrate. GUNTHER says that I am going to step away for next few weeks and you both have to impress me. Kofi Claus came and he gifted Ludwig Kaiser a piece of coal.
  • Shinsuke Nakamura was cutting a promo on Cody Rhodes from a dark place backstage and Cody attacked him from behind. Cody and Nakamura started brawling in the arena and Nakamura manages to escape.
  • Bronson Reed shows up in Adam Pearce locker room and he says that he wants to talk about challenging GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship.
  • Backstage – Ivy Nile gets ready to face Rhea Ripley. Maxxine Dupri thanks Ivy for having her back, and Ivy says that she plans to be the next WWE Women’s World Champion before leaving to head to the ring with The Creed Brothers.
  • Akira Tozawa shows up and says he has a match with Ivar, who is in the room with Valhalla. Gable tells Tozawa that was not what he meant when he told him to go big.
  • Backstage, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance were congratulated by the rest of the women’s division as well as Kofi Claus. As they leave with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, the former of whom Katana thanks, Natalya tells Shayna Baszler that the new champions will need new challengers. Baszler says we were thinking the same.
  • Seth Rollins came to the ring and he said that after his little confrontation last week, he is more motivated to be the best world champion in this entire industry. Seth started talking about Drew and crowd started booing. Drew McIntyre came and her praised Seth for telling the truth about CM Punk. McIntyre tells Rollins that he will do whatever it takes to take that title away from him at Day 1. Seth says that only person who prevents Drew from becoming a champion is Drew McIntyre and he tells him that he pity Drew. Seth wishes Merry Christmas to Drew and he was leaving, but Drew attacked him from behind. Seth & Drew started brawling and Drew ended up standing tall.
  • Creed Brothers were getting ready for their tag team championship match later tonight. Cody Rhodes came and he thanked Creed Brothers for their help last week.
  • Kofi Claus shows up in the arena to throw more gifts into the crowd. All of a sudden, he gets attacked by Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. As they continue to attack Kofi, “Main Event” Jey Uso shows up and makes the save before challenging Kaiser to a one on one match.
  • Backstage, as everyone else in The Judgment Day makes fun of JD McDonagh for losing to R-Truth, Rhea Ripley says losing reflects negatively on them and tells them to get serious, then says they need to start making an example out of anyone who steps to them. After it is made clear that McDonagh is still in The Judgment Day, Rhea says that she has talked to General Manager Adam Pearce and that Ivy Nile will get her title match at Day 1, then says tonight is about Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
