WWE Clash of Champions 2020 – Roman Reigns destroys Jey Uso, Results, Highlights and Written Details

The tribal chief ‘Roman Reigns’ made a statement tonight at ‘Clash of Champions’ PPV as the Samoan badass completely destroyed his brother Jey Uso in the main event. We also witnessed one of the best ladder matches on the WWE main roster in the past few years as Sami Zayn pulled off a rabbit out of a hat or should we say a key out of his mouth. The legend killer Randy Orton finally faces the wrath of all the legends he has destroyed in the recent times. Asuka does double duty yet again as she faces both Zelina Vega and Bayley on the same night in multiple matches.

WWE Clash of Champions 2020 Winners and Losers

1. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Kalisto) Tag Team Match for SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Winners – Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura

Losers – Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Kalisto)

Cesaro tosses Lince Dorado around the ring at the start of this match. STO by Cesaro to Dorado but Dorado surprises Cesaro with a head-scissors. Kalisto tags in and lands a splash on Cesaro. Dorado does the same. Dorado floors Cesaro with a top rope dropkick. Cesaro tags in Nakamura and Nakamura runs into a boot by Dorado. Nakamura boots Dorado off the top rope. Nakamura and Cesaro take turns working over Dorado. Dorado manages to tag in Kalisto. Kalisto blasts Cesaro with a head-scissors into a DDT after which he went for the cover but Nakamura breaks up the pin.

Kalisto tries a diving DDT to the outside but Cesaro puts on the breaks. Lince Dorado dives through the ropes and his momentum carries Kalisto into his DDT. Dorado and Kalisto land a series of moonsaults on Cesaro after which another attempt was made to pin but Cesaro kicks out. Nakamura drags Dorado off the apron after that Nakamura launches Dorado into the barricade. Nakamura reverses exploded suplexes Dorado onto the barricade. Cesaro swings Kalisto as Nakamura hits a Kinshasa picking up the win.

2. Jeff Hardy (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn Triple Threat Ladder Match for Intercontinental Championship

Winner – Sami Zayn

Losers – AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy

Sami Zayn enters whining about being in this match after which Jeff Hardy takes out Zayn and AJ Styles with a dive. Styles catches Hardy with a flying elbow to the outside. Before Styles can take advantage, Zayn surprises Styles with an Arabian press moonsault to the outside. Hardy backdrops Zayn on a ladder. Hardy goes up on top but Styles sidesteps Hardy. Hardy lands on a ladder. Styles sets up a ladder but Zayn cuts Styles off.

AJ Styles blasts Sami Zayn with the Pelé kick after which Styles climbs the ladder but Jeff Hardy climbs the other side. Styles pushes Hardy off the ladder. Hardy hits the mat hard. Hardy somehow gets back to his feet and pulls Styles off the ladder. Inverted atomic drop by Hardy followed by a leg drop on Styles’ nuts. Basement dropkick by Hardy. Zayn exploded suplexes Styles on a ladder. Styles falls out of the ring. Zayn almost gets to the top of the ladder before Hardy cuts him off.

Jeff Hardy throws Sami Zayn outside. AJ Styles whips Zayn into the steel steps. Styles bounces Hardy’s head off a ladder. Hardy surprises Styles with poetry in motion, which crushes Styles against the barricade. Zayn immediately lands the Helluva Kick on Hardy. Zayn climbs the ladder in the ring. Styles launches a ladder into the ring, knocking Zayn off the ladder. Zayn hits the mat clutching at his hand.

AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy both climb the ladder. Hardy tips the ladder, causing them both to fall. Styles lands on the top rope and falls to the outside. Sami Zayn starts his climb again. Styles tries a springboard, but Hardy pushes the ladder, knocking Zayn off, and hitting Styles as he sails through the air. Hardy tries to climb the ladder but Zayn tips it up. Hardy starts to climb down the ladder but Zayn sends the ladder into the top rope.

Jeff Hardy gets crushed in the ladder as it closes on him after that Hardy falls to the outside. AJ Styles backflips off the announce desk and hits a reverse DDT out on the floor to Sami Zayn. Styles slams Zayn on the announce desk. Styles wedges a ladder between the announce desk and the ring. Hardy hits Styles in the face with a ladder. Hardy sets up a larger ladder. Hardy climbs the ladder and hits a Swanton on Zayn as a result of which Zayn, and the ladder he was laying on gets broken in half.

AJ Styles tries to climb the ladder again but Jeff Hardy pushes over the ladder. Sami Zayn pulls a pair of handcuffs out of a bag. Zayn handcuffs Hardy’s earlobe to a ladder. Zayn hooks one half of another pair of cuffs to Styles. Zayn tries to handcuff Styles on the second rope but Styles fights Zayn off. Styles slams Zayn but Zayn hooks the other side of the cuffs to himself! Once Styles realizes it, Zayn laughs and tells Styles he isn’t going anywhere.

Jeff Hardy struggles to get back in the ring with a ladder tied to his head. AJ Styles puts Sami Zayn on his back and started to climb the ladder. Zayn pulls the cuff key out his mouth. Zayn unlocks the handcuffs after which Zayn handcuffs Styles to the ladder. Zayn pulls down both titles to getting the match and becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.

After the match ends, Kayla Braxton tries to interview Sami Zayn asking him how he feels on his title win. Zayn responds saying that he didn’t recapture the title, he retained it.

3. Asuka vs. Zelina Vega Singles Match for RAW Women’s Championship

Winner – Asuka

Loser – Zelina Vega

Asuka slams Zelina Vega’s face into the mat right at the start. Asuka mocks Vega after which both Vega and Asuka engaged in a Greco-Roman knuckle lock. Asuka almost pins Vega but Vega spins out of the hold and kicks Asuka in the arm. Vega tries an armbar but Asuka reverses it into a headlock. Vega tries an arm drag but Asuka puts on the breaks and turns it into an armbar. Vega somehow manages to reach to the ropes.

Asuka tries a superplex but Zelina Vega pushes Asuka off the top. Asuka lands on her arm in the process. Asuka quickly kicks Vega in the gut followed by a Hip attack by Asuka. Vega falls out of the ring. Asuka follows and Vega trips Asuka into the ring steps, arm first. Arm wringer slam by Vega as she went for the cover but Asuka kicks out. Vega reverses the Asuka Lock into an armbar of her own and Asuka turns that back to the Asuka Lock. Vega escapes to the outside. Vega counters the hip attack with a crucifix followed by a Ranna by Vega. Vega gets a two count. Rolling kick by Vega and she went for the pin again but Asuka kicks out again. Vega tries multiple pinning attempts after which Asuka counters the last into the Asuka Lock and Vega taps out immediately.

After the end of this match, Asuka says that Zelina Vega is like a firecracker, small, but dangerous. Vega wasn’t ready for Asuka. Asuka tries to shake Vega’s hands but Vega bows (Japanese Style). As Asuka bows in response, Vega attacks Asuka.

4. Bobby Lashley (c) w/MVP vs. Apollo Crews w/Ricochet Singles Match for United States Championship

Winner – Bobby Lashley

Loser – Apollo Crews

Bobby Lashley runs over Apollo Crews in the beginning of this match. Lashley tries to slap Crews but Crew ducks and kicks Lashley in the head. Crews clotheslines Lashley over the top rope. Asai moonsault by Crews after which he goes for a pin attempt. Crews gets a near fall after a top rope crossbody. Lashley sends Crews shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Flatliner by Lashley. Crews pushes Lashley into the ring post. Lashley runs into an elbow by Crews. Lashley falls off the apron.

Apollo Crews lands another dive on Bobby Lasshley. Crews sends Lashley back into the ring. Enziguri by Crews followed by a press slams to Lashley. Standing moonsault by Crews and he tries to pin Lashley again but Lashley kicks out again. Crews goes up top but Lashley cuts Crews off and hits a superplex. Pin attempt by Laashley but he only gets a two count. Crews escapes Lashley’s C4. Standing shooting star by Crews. Crews mounts the top rope and crushes Lashley with a frog splash after which he went for the cover but Lashley kicks out yet again. Crews runs right into a huge spinebuster by Lashley after which Lashley puts Crews in the Hurt Lock and Crews taps out as a result of which Bobby Lashley retained the United States Championship.

5. The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza Tag Team Match for RAW Tag Team Championships

Winners – The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins)

Losers – Andrade and Angel Garza

Angel Garza and Andrade both work over Angelo Dawkins at the start. Dawkins floors Andrade with a shoulder block. Dropkick by Dawkins. Montez Ford tags in and lands a dropkick of his own. Garza saves Andrade from a dropkick by Ford. Garza launches Ford in the air. Andrade kicks Ford on his way down.

Angel Garza and Andrade work over Montez Ford but Ford manages to tag in Angelo Dawkins. Dawkins clears the ring. Andrade surprises Dawkins with a dropkick. Garza hits an avalanche Spanish Fly followed by a pin attempt. Ford somehow manages to kick out. Garza blasts Ford with a knee. Andrade knocks Dawkins off the apron. Andrade crushes Ford with his patented double knee strike and he tries to cover him. Ford kicks out again! Dawkins hits a spinebuster on Andrade picking up the win.

6. Bayley (c) vs. Asuka Singles Match for SmackDown Women’s Championship

Winner – Asuka

Loser – Bayley

Asuka puts Bayley in the Asuka Lock but Bayley gets to the ropes. Bayley pounds on Asuka’s injured arm followed by a back suplex by Bayley. Bayley trips Asuka on the apron. Asuka hits her face on the way down. Bayley misses a baseball slide. Asuka German suplexes Bayley out on the floor. Bayley hits Asuka with a chair to cause a disqualification.

Sasha Banks jumps over the barricade and hits Bayley with a chair. Banks was still wearing a neck brace. Bayley kicks Banks into the announce desk. Bayley sends Banks into the ring. Bayley sets up a chair in the ring. Banks tasks Bayley’s kendo stick and hits her with it. Bayley rolls out of the ring to avoid the chair Banks tossed at her.

7. Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton Ambulance Match for WWE Championship

Winner – Drew McIntyre

Loser – Randy Orton

As soon as the bell rings, Drew McIntyre lights Randy Orton up with chops and punches. Orton tries the RKO but McIntyre dodges it. McIntyre ends up on the apron. As McIntyre gets back in the ring, Orton kicks the middle rope into McIntyre’s nuts. Orton blasts McIntyre with a hangman’s DDT. Orton sets up the Punt but Big Show appears and grabs Orton’s leg. Big Show Chokeslams Orton through the announce desk.

Drew McIntyre stun guns Randy Orton on the barricade. McIntyre continues his assault, all while leading Orton to the ambulance. McIntyre launches Orton facefirst into the door of the ambulance. McIntyre pulls a few weapons out of the ambulance. McIntyre hits Orton with a chair. Orton hits McIntyre with a crutch. Orton drives the chair into McIntyre’s broken jaw. Orton opens the ambulance doors. McIntyre and Orton both get in the ambulance. McIntyre lands a few punches before Orton kicks him away. Orton European uppercuts McIntyre.

Randy Orton puts Drew McIntyre into the ambulance. Orton tries to slam the driver’s side door on McIntyre. McIntyre counters with the Glasgow kiss. McIntyre tries a Claymore but Orton moves out of the way. McIntyre kicks the driver’s side door right off the hinges. McIntyre was clutching at his knee. Orton crawls to the backstage area. Orton launches McIntyre into a wall.

Christian appears out of nowhere and attacks Randy Orton. Christian launches Orton into the catering table. Orton and McIntyre fight back to the ambulance. McIntyre puts Orton on the hood of the ambulance. Orton gouges McIntyre’s eye. Orton slams McIntyre on the windshield, shattering it. Orton and McIntyre end up on the roof of the ambulance. Orton knees McIntyre in the face. McIntyre was hanging off the ambulance by one hand. Orton stomps McIntyre’s hand. McIntyre falls off the ambulance.

Randy Orton turns around and Shawn Michaels was standing on the ambulance as well. HBK pops Orton with Sweet Chin Music. HBK pushes Orton off the ambulance. Drew McIntyre picks up Orton and walks him to the back of the ambulance. Orton rolls off McIntyre’s shoulder. RKO by Orton. McIntyre was barely moving. Orton puts McIntyre in the back of the ambulance. Orton tries to close the door by McIntyre puts his hand between the doors to stop them from closing. McIntyre pokes Orton in the eye. McIntyre rolls out of the ambulance. Claymore by McIntyre. McIntyre puts Orton in the back of the ambulance. Instead of closing the door. McIntyre lays Orton’s head on the ambulance steps. McIntyre Punts Orton! McIntyre closes the doors on Orton winning the match and retaining the WWE Championship.

After the end of this match, Ric Flair gets in the ambulance and drives Randy Orton away.

8. Roman Reigns (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. Jey Uso Singles Match for Universal Championship

Winner – Roman Reigns

Loser – Jey Uso

Jey Uso and Roman Reigns circle each other as the match starts. Uso yells to Reigns that its time. Reigns forces Uso into the ropes. Reigns give Uso a clean break but Reigns stares Uso up an down in the process. Reigns and Uso jaw at each other. Reigns tells Uso he told him how it was going to go. Uso tells Reigns he’s trying to get this too. Reigns charges in. Uso leapfrog over Reigns.

Jey Uso break dances as Roman Reigns seethes in the corner. Jey Uso escapes out of the ring. Uso gets back in the ring. Jey Uso lands a few right hands. Jey Uso hits the ropes and runs right into a clothesline by Reigns. Reigns gets a two count. Reigns chokes Jey Uso in the ropes. Reigns smashes Jey Uso with a clubbing blow and Jey Uso falls out of the ring. Reigns follows and slams Jey Uso into the ring apron. Jey Uso and Reigns trade punches. Reigns rocks Jey Uso with a right hand. Reigns slams Jey Uso’s head on the announce table. Reigns telegraphs a back body drop. Jey Uso lands a few strikes followed by a Samoan drop. Pin attempt by Jey Uso but Reigns kicks out at two count.

Reigns is clutching at his back. Reigns crawls to the corner. Uso goes for a running hip attack. Roman Reigns gets to his feet and hits Jey Uso with a Superman Punch. Reigns bad mouths Jey Uso. Jey Uso chops Reigns. Reigns brushes it off and decks Jey Uso. Jey Uso hits the mat like a sack of bricks. Reigns charges in but Jey Uso gets a boot up. Jey Uso lands a few more right hands. Jey Uso pushes Reigns into the turnbuckle.

Jey Uso clotheslines Roman Reigns over the top followed by a Suicide dive by Jey Uso and Reigns falls out of the ring again. Jey Uso hits another suicide dive. Diving crossbody by Jey Uso followed by a pin attempt but Reigns kicks out at 2.5. Superkick by Jey Uso and another cover attempt but Reigns kicks out again. Jey Uso collapses in exhaustion. Heyman looks concerned at ringside. Jey Uso misses a splash but lands on his feet. Reigns catches Jey Uso with a flying leg lariat after which he tried to pin him but Jey Uso kicks out.

Roman Reigns sets himself for the Spear but Jey Uso turns it into a roll up and Reigns kicks out. Superkick by Jey Uso. Jey Uso hits the Uso Splash. As Reigns kicks out, he low blows Jey Uso in the process. Reigns chuckles to himself as Jey Uso was feeling the pain lying on the mat.

Roman Reigns Spears Jey Uso and instead of pinning him, he just stares at him. Reigns says he’s not ready yet. Reigns demands Jey Uso call him Tribal Chief but Jey Uso refuses. Reigns Spears him again. Reigns holds Uso’s face to a camera and demands Jey Uso say it but Jey Uso says “not today, Uce… not today”.

Roman Reigns ground and pounds Jey Uso. The referee tries to stop Reigns. Reigns gets in the referee’s face and tells him not to make him address him again. Reigns pounds Jey Uso into the ground. Jey Uso refuses to give Reigns what he wants. Reigns rains down elbows to Jey Uso’s head. Jimmy Uso limps down the ramp, ready to throw in the towel. Jey Uso begs Jimmy not to throw in the towel. Jimmy and Jey argue overthrowing in the towel. Reigns continues his assault. Heyman yells at Jimmy to throw in the damn towel. Jimmy throws it in. and Reigns wins.

After the match, Jimmy Uso rolls into the ring and covers his brother because Roman Reigns was not stopping his assault on Jey, even though the bell rang. Jimmy tells Reigns that he is the Tribal Chief. If that’s what Reigns’ needs to hear. Jimmy just wants Reigns to stop. Heyman takes the Samoan lei necklace Jey Uso wore to the ring and places it on Reigns.

WWE Clash of Champions 2020 All Segments Updates

1. Backstage, R-Truth was hiding in a disguise. Truth walks into the referee’s locker room. Drew Gulak was working out behind Truth. Gulak rolls up Truth and wins the 24/7 Championship.

2. Backstage, Kayla Braxton was interviewing Drew Gulak. Gulak says he seized his moment. Gulak dedicates his win to his long-time friend Akira Tozawa who was apparently eaten by a shark last week. Truth appears and hits Gulak in the head with a piece of metal. Truth covers Gulak winning the 24/7 Championship back again.

3. Bayley enters the ring and she says that Nikki Cross isn’t medically cleared to compete tonight. Bayley places the title in the chair she was carrying. Bayley gloats about Cross not being able to compete tonight. Bayley issues an open challenge for anyone in the back. No one answers (Bayley only gives five seconds for someone to come out). Bayley demands the referee to raise her hand and award her the match. Asuka’s music hits. Asuka chargess down to the ring. The bell rings as Bayley tries to run away but Asuka hits her with a German Suplex.
