Based on the real life events of 1990 Kashmiri Pandits exodus from the Kashmir Valley, Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is setting new benchmarks at Box office India every day with its increasing collection figures. The Vivek Agnihotri directorial was released on 11 March 2022 in cinemas on a very small screen count of only 600 screens across India has now grossed around Rs 60.20 crores and quite interestingly on 5th day i.e Tuesday, 15 March 2022 this film has grossed Rs 18 crores which is the highest for any Bollywood film since Covid19 pandemic started.
After the positive public word of mouth and mind blowing reviews from critics, the screen count of The Kashmir Files has now been increased from 600 screens to 2500 screens across India. If experts are to be believed then even this 2500 screen count is very low for this movie as many are saying that this masterpiece deserves a screen count of at least 4000 screens at Indian box office. The Kashmir Files has already grossed more then 4 times the total amount of budget that was being spent to made this film i.e. Rs 14 crores and there are high chances that this movie will join the 100 crores club in the next couple of days.
Talking about the overall box office collections of The Kashmir Files on Day 6, well we are expecting this movie to collect anywhere between Rs 20 crores – Rs 22 crores. Most of todays morning-night shows for this film are already sold out in the Northern states of Delhi NCR and Punjab. In the UT of Jammu, almost 90% of its shows for today are already being sold out in big theatres like KC PVR, Wave Mall, Movietime, and Apsara Multiplex.
Speaking about the rest of India, The Kashmir Files is receiving great public response and almost 70% of its shows for today are sold out at the time we are writing this article. In most of BJP ruled states this film has already been made tax free and this is also helping its overall business a lot.
