After crossing the ₹ 200 crores box office collection mark in the Indian cinema markets, The Kashmir Files is still going strong as a result of which this reality based venture earned a hefty amount of ₹ 7.20 crores on the 14th day after which its first 2 weeks overall box office India collection currently stands at ₹ 207.33 crores. Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Paandey got absolutely crushed by the mega tsunami of The Kashmir Files and only because of its great impact makers of Bachchan Paandey were forced to re-negotiate the OTT release deal with Amazon Prime Video as its OTT release window has now been reduced from 6 weeks to 4 weeks only.
Forget about Bachchan Paandey because now The Kashmir Files has a much bigger challenge in front of it and i.e. S.S. Rajamouli’s periodic action drama film RRR. RRR has also been released in theatres today on 25 March 2022 and the much hyped South Indian venture has a direct clash with TKF in all the various regions of the country. There is a big difference between the entire production value and budgets of both these movies because The Kashmir Files has been made with a small budget of ₹ 7.20 crores while a massive amount of ₹ 400 crores has been spent in the making of RRR.
Even if the business of The Kashmir Files gets slowed down now still Vivek Agnihotri has successfully proved a point with his masterpiece. From ₹ 3.55 crores on 1st day to ₹ 200 crores on the 13th day, TKF has successfully written a new chapter in the Indian film industry which will be remembered and lauded for the ages to comes.
On the 15th day The Kashmir Files business got massively effected in both North Indian and South Indian markets. In the South Indian markets especially RRR has clearly dominated over TKF and we are expecting further decrease in The Kashmir Files audience numbers in the coming days. The Kashmir Files has also lost around 1600 screens on 3rd Friday as these screens being allotted to RRR and we are expecting TKF to lose even more screens in near future.
Fifteenth Day Collection of The Kashmir Files in India is ₹ 4.50 crores
