Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday 5 January 2022 was on a special visit to Punjab as he landed at Bathinda early morning and from there he had to go to the National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala and while he was on the way some protestors blocked his convoy at Hussainiwala in Ferozepur district and his convoy got stuck at the flyover for around 15 to 20 mins. This can be seen as a major security lapse in the Prime Minister of 1.4 Billion people and ruling party BJP has already started blaming the present Congress government in Punjab for this lapse by calling it a pre-planned conspiracy.
It has been reported that PM Narendra Modi’s scheduled travel plan was communicated well in advance to Punjab Government and as per protocol, they have to make necessary arrangements for logistics, security as well as keep a contingency plan ready. Only Punjab Police was aware about PM Modi’s travel route.
This deliberate security breach is nothing but an attempt to assassinate the Prime Minister and the Congress government in Punjab is responsible for it.
Just because the Congress can’t defeat PM Modi politically, they are resorting to unconstitutional means to eliminate him… pic.twitter.com/iExvUJAXwB

Home Minister of India ‘Amit Shah’ slammed Congress Party for what happened in Punjab today during PM Modi’s visit and he also said that he has sought a detailed report on today’s security breach in Punjab by posting a number of tweets :
Today’s Congress-made happening in Punjab is a trailer of how this party thinks and functions. Repeated rejections by the people have taken them to the path of insanity. The topmost echelons of the Congress owe an apology to the people of India for what they have done.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a detailed report on today’s security breach in Punjab. Such dereliction of security procedure in the Prime Minister’s visit is totally unacceptable and accountability will be fixed.

Well only time will tell that whether this lapse in PM Modi’s security was just a mere co-incidence or whether there is something more to it. But one thing is for sure that the political situation in Punjab has now gotten even more intense.
