The film is a bit slow in the first 30 minutes but later on its picks up pace and the final 45 minutes are just mind blowing to watch as you will see a lot of shocking revelations unfolding. Except action, Govinda Naam Mera is filled with comedy, romance, drama, and suspense which simply makes it a complete Bollywood masala package.
While watching Govinda Naam Mera, you will feel sympathetic towards Vicky Kaushal at times because of the kind of torture he faces from his on-screen wife Bhumi Pednekar but at the same time you will enjoy the romance between Vicky and Kiara a lot. But the story of Govinda Naam Mera is not as simple as it appears and props to the script writers for coming up with such an unpredictable plot.

Govinda Naam Mera is a Vicky Kaushal show from start to finish and he has absolutely knocked it out of the park with his brilliant performance as Govinda Waghmare. Whether it comes to emotions or comedy sequences, Vicky has shown that he is an absolute beast when it comes to acting.
Vicky Kaushal is getting mocked a lot on the social media by trollers since last year after he got married to Kartina Kaif but now Vicky gave a tight slap to all his haters with his acting in Govinda Naam Mera and it seems that Katrina is very lucky to have such a talented husband.
Talking about the performance of both the lead actresses “Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar” well it won’t be wrong to say that Kiara has done most of the heavy lifting as far as the female lead is concerned because her co-actress Bhumi hasn’t got that much of screen space in this film. Kiara’s on-screen chemistry with Vicky has also looked quite amazing and she has played a vital role in the climax of Govinda Naam Mera.
As far as the supporting cast of Govinda Naam Mera is concerned, Trupti Khamkar and Renuka Shahane has shined the most while playing the roles of Manju Bai and Asha Waghmare. Even Dayanand Shetty and Sayaji Shinde haven’t disappointed with their small roles but the two ladies “Trupti and Renka” have impressed us the most with their side role acts.
Ranbir Kapoor has also made a small cameo appearance in Govinda Naam Mera and his entry happens during the end of Bijli song but we expected something more from him and not just some cheesy forced punch line of him being compared with Ranveer Singh by Vicky Kaushal.

Although Govinda Naam Mera has a total of five songs but the main film only includes 3 of them as the remaining two “Bana Sharabi and Hello” are just made for promotional purposes by the makers it seems. But to be honest, all the three main songs of this film are just mind blowing and they have been spread pretty well throughout the film. The music & lyrics of Bijli, Pappi Jhappi, and Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0 are just a breathe of fresh air but Kiana Advani and her hotness have made their videos a bit extra special.
