by Bollywood period action drama film Gadar 2 has been released in cinemas today worldwide on 11 August 2023 and the hype around this Sunny Deol starrer was quite surreal. Fans of the OG 90’s version were very excited to see the return of Tara Singh and fortunately we got our hands on the first day first show tickets of this film. In this article further we are going to give you all the full detailed spoiler free review of Gadar 2 with all its major strengths and flaws.
Full Spoiler Free Review of Gadar 2 Hindi Film with Positives and Negatives :
Unlike its predecessor, Gadar 2 focuses on the story of an Indian father (Sunny Deol) rescue mission to save his son (Utkarsh Sharma) from the evil clutches of Pakistani Major General Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa). The first half of the story is a bit slow, but fans will witness a lot of action in the 2nd half and yes the iconic hand pump makes an appearance yet again.
Sunny Paaji has delivered some memorable dialogues throughout this film and fans in North Indian belts will enjoy those scenes a lot. But overall when compared to 2001 version Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 looks like a damp squib. Ameeesha Patel looks more like a window dressing in this film and her role is just about crying on various occasions to reignite the fire in Sunny Paaji.
Both the young stars “Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur” have also failed to impress, but when it comes tro Sunny Deol’s performance, we can definitely say that the Dhai Kilo Ka Haath still has a lot of potency left and also his over the top screaming will definitely entertain the single screen audiences a lot.
Overall if you are a big fan of Sunny Del then you should definitely give Gadar 2 a try, but if you are expecting something as good as “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” then you should wait for the OTT release because this sequel is nowhere near the OG version.
