by Laughter Chefs Season 2 Episode 45, which aired on June 28, 2025, was a fun ride as we saw the entire star cast of the upcoming Bollywood film “Metro In Dino” gracing the set of the show. Rahul Vaidya was unfortunately absent from this episode, so Jannat Zubair replaced him as Rubina Dilaik’s partner. In this episode, celebrity cooks were tasked with cooking complicated dishes like Bhajiya Platter and Lava Idli.
At the start of the episode, host Bharti Singh announced that Jannat Zubair would be Rubina Dilaik’s partner for this episode as Rubina’s regular partner on the show, Rahul Vaidya, was absent due to other work commitments. Fortunately, Elvish Yadav and Vicky Jain returned in this episode, pairing up again with their regular partners, Karan Kundrra and Ankita Lokhande.
The entire star cast of Metro In Dino (2025 film), including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Ali Fazal, Konkana Sen Sharma, along with director Anurag Basu, came on the set as special guests, after which host Bharti Singh announced who each one of them would team up with to cook in this episode.

Cooking Battle 1
All seven trios of celebrity contestants were tasked with cooking a Bhajiya Platter.
Criteria for Bhajiya Platter:

- Perfect Design (Blooming Flower, Chain)
- 26 Petals
- Flavourful Bhajiya
- Chatpati Pudina Chutney
All seven trios started cooking the Bhajiya Platter. After the allotted time limit expired, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and director Anurag Basu started tasting the Bhajiya Platter cooked by each trio, and then the result of Cooking Battle 1 was announced.
Winning Trio:
Aly Goni, Reem Shaikh, and Fatima Sana Sheikh
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi loved the crunch of the Bhajiya Platter made by the trio of Aly Goni, Reem Shaikh, and Fatima Sana Sheikh. He was also quite impressed with the perfect petals they made in their Bhajiyas, as a result of which they were awarded a Golden Star.
Cooking Battle 2
All seven celebrity contestant pairs were given the task of cooking a unique dish named Lava Idli.
Criteria for Lava Idli:
- 2 Pieces of Lava Idli
- Lava Presentation
- Well-Cooked
- Authentic Taste
- Color
Host Bharti Singh announced the names of the contestants from each trio who would collect ingredients from the pantry within the given time limit. They were:
- Sara Ali Khan
- Fatima Sana Sheikh
- Aditya Roy Kapur
- Ali Fazal
- Konkana Sen Sharma
- Anupam Kher
- Neena Gupta
After collecting the ingredients, the entire star cast of Metro In Dino and director Anurag Basu left the set of Laughter Chefs Season 2, and then all the celebrity cooks started cooking Lava Idli.
Finally, the allotted time to cook Lava Idli expired, and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi started tasting the Lava Idli made by each celebrity cook pair, and then the result of Cooking Battle 2 was announced.
Winning Pair:
Jannat Zubair and Rubina Dilaik
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi loved the authentic taste, presentation, and color of the Lava Idli made by the pair of Jannat Zubair and Rubina Dilaik. He complimented them with his signature dialogue, “Zubaan Ki Hogayi Balle Balle,” as a result of which their pair was awarded a Golden Star.
