Directed by Rohit Shetty Bollywood comedy film Cirkus is all set to hit the cinema screens on Friday 23 December 2022 worldwide and there is a lot of hype around this film because it has been made by B-town’s blockbuster director. Film critics and analysts have already started speculating about its day 1 box office collections as there are very high chances that this Ranveer Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer will shatter many records at the Indian cinema markets.
As we all know that Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus is releasing on Christmas 2023 weekend and this factor in particular will boost its earnings a lot at the box office because its a family movie and people across India will be able to enjoy their Holidays with their parents & kids by watching this film in theatres.
Rohit Shetty’s previous big Bollywood release was Sooryavanshi in 2021 and that Akshay Kumar starrer did a business of over 294 crores Indian rupees at box office. But now fans of Mr. Shetty are expecting Cirkus to touch the 300 crores milestone which is looking somewhat realistic because of the Holiday season advantage in its favour.
Cirkus has been promoted on a massive scale by its cast and crew at social media as well as special events. Even on reality shows like Bigg Boss 16, Cirkus cast made an appearance to promote this film as its lead stars Jacqueline, Ranveer, and Pooja along with director Rohit Shetty were seen sharing stage with BB host Salman Khan on the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes.
Cirkus will face tough competition from only James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water in the initial days and its more then likely that this film might not even suffer any loss because of this direct competition with the Hollywood’s biggie. Cirkus has a very strong Golmaal vibe attached with it and fans of Golmaal franchise will definitely go in huge numbers to watch it because they are waiting for “Golmaal 4” since last 5 years.
As of now, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra holds the record of being the highest Bollywood grosser in India on Day 1 as its Hindi version only made a income of 32 crores Indian rupees on first day but now looking at the massive hype around Cirkus and the Christmas weekend factor, we think that the record of Brahmastra is in big trouble.
According to our prediction Cikus will collect Rs 35 crores on Day 1 at India box office.
