Book of Boba Fett Season 2 might got cancelled and will not happen – Here’s Why

Disney Plus latest original series based in the Star Wars universe titled Book of Boba Fett has has recently concluded its Season 1 finale on the OTT Platform and we saw a generic happy ending at the last episode of the show and now the fans who were craving for a Season 2 announcement of the show, it seems they have been left with disappointment as it appears that the makers of the show have no plans for a eason 2 and here’s why we are saying this.

Before reading this article about Book of Boba Fett Season 2 cancellation we want to warn you all that this article contains some big spoilers about the Season 1 finale so read it with further caution if you haven’t watched the Season 1 episode 7 yet.

Death of Cad Bane

The revelation of Cad Bane, ‘a Duros male bounty hunter and mercenary whose career spanned from the fall of the Galactic Republic’ in the episode 6 of Book of Boba Fett left everyone jaw dropped but unfortunately the live action stint of this much beloved Star Wars character remained short lived and now it seems that Boba doesn’t have any big one on one rival to face off in the Season 2.

No Cliffhanger at Episode 7 end

We have seen many times in the past that whenever the makers of any big budget series have any plans for a next installment of any show then they end the present Season with some kind of cliffhanger but nothing of that sort have happened in the finale of Book of Boba Fett Season 1 as Boba defeated Cad Bane and his partner in crime Fennac Shand killed all the leaders of the Pyke Syndicate. So there is nothing left in the show which makes us think that there will be a Season 2.

Final Episode looked more like a Promotion for Mandalorian Season 3

In the last episode of Book of Boba Fett we saw Grogu showcasing his powers even further as he was seen putting a Rancor to sleep using the power of the force. Also the final scene of the show was Grogu and Mando flying in the space in an X-Wing. One more thing in the episode 5 and 6 Boba was seen giving cameo appearances so it seems that makers of the show used the final few episodes of Book of Boba Fett as a promotion for Mandalorian Season 3.

Overall Performance of Season 1 was poor

One opinion which many people surely agree upon is that the overall performance of Book of Boba Fett was quite poor. Many fans started enjoying the show after episode 5 released and during those episodes Boba ‘the main character of the show’ was nowhere there to be seen. So it seems that we can surely say that without any doubt that Book of Boba Fett Season 1 was a flop.
