5 Major Reasons Why Dhaakad flopped at Box Office – Is Kangana Ranaut Finished?

Bollywood female centric action film Dhaakad was released this Friday in theatres on 20 May 2022 but unfortunately this Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal starrer film failed to earn even around ₹ 1 crore on the opening day as the Razneesh Ghai directorial collected only ₹ 50 lacs on the first day. Now the people have started wondering about why Dhaakad failed so badly at box office India and we will answer all these questions in this article also we will tell you about the future of Kangana as an actress in the Bollywood industry.

Below are some of the major reasons because of which Dhaakad flopped so badly at box office India :

1. Adult Rated Film :

Dhaakad is a Adult Rated Film as it has received an A certificate from the Censor Board of India because the film includes a lot of violence as well as sexual scenes and it seems that because of this most of the youngsters and senior citizens avoided this film because the bold sequences in this film are not at all appropriate for children viewing and also the violent gory scenes are not good for the health of senior citizens especially the people with weak hearts.

2. No Major Star Power :

The second major reason for the failure of Dhaakad at box office India is that it doesn’t have any major star power. Yes we are taking a dig at Kangana because she is not a major Bollywood star anymore and also Arjun Rampal has lost his charm in the industry a long time ago. Although there’s been a belief recently among the viewers that the star power doesn’t matter anymore as only quality content matters but the disastrous performance of Dhaakad at box office has proved that the star power still matters a lot.

3. Clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 :

Another major reason for the failure of Dhaakad is its clash with Kartik Aaryan & Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It seems that the makers and producers of Dhaakad took it upon their egos as they made the blunder of releasing Dhaakad alongside much anticipated Bollywood horror comedy sequel film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and this mistake cost them a lot as its quite evident that the producers of Dhaakad will suffer major losses in the long run because of its bad release timing.

4. Female Centric Action Film :

Dhaakad was promoted has the first ever full fledged female centric film of Bollywood and it seems that this did not helped it at all as it appears that Indian audience is not yet ready for such kind of films in which an actress can be seen performing deadly stunts and beating around 50 men all at once. There have been female centric action films made by Bollywood in the past as well including Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira and Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani but without any surprise even both those films flopped badly at box office.

5. Boycott by SSR Fans and Other Actresses Fans :

Kangana Ranaut made many controversial statements during the SSR Movement in order to gain easy limelight and she is known to degrade other actresses like Alia Bhatt & Deepika Padukone quite often in order to show herself superior then all those successful actresses. It seems that the SSR Fans didn’t liked the way Kangana used the whole Movement to gain limelight for herself also the fans of Alia, Deepika, and Taapsee did not liked the way Kangana degraded those actresses in the past because of which all of them boycotted Dhaakad in cinemas.

Is Kangana Ranaut finished as an Actress?

Kangana Ranaut has given 9 back to back flops in a row including Dhaakad which is the most recent one and her last hit film Tanu Weds Manu Returns came in Year 2015 and around 7 Years have been passed since its release. She has already finished shooting for her upcoming 2 films which are Tejas and Tiku Weds Sheru., if both these film flopped at box office then it will become even more clearer that Kangana Ranaut’s days in the film industry are over and she should rather focus on hosting and judging reality shows like Lock UPP etc.
