The WWE SmackDown spoilers for 4 July 2025 episode are now available. This week’s episode of the blue brand, originally scheduled to air live on Friday, was pre-taped at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The tapings took place after the conclusion of the June 30, 2025 episode of RAW. The show was pre-taped to allow WWE talent to spend the Fourth of July (U.S. Independence Day) holiday with their families and loved ones.
Several major matches took place during this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, including the return of a former female legend. Additionally, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair teamed up for the first time on the main roster. WWE SmackDown 4 July 2025 Results for All Matches
- Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair qualified for the four-way Women’s Tag Team Title match at Evolution 2 by defeating Secret Service (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) and Michin & B-Fab via pinfall.
- The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis) defeated Chris Sabin, Montez Ford, Johnny Gargano, and Berto in an eight-man tag team match via pinfall.
- Andrade and Rey Fenix defeated Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) via pinfall.
- Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso defeated Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo via pinfall.
WWE SmackDown 4 July 2025 Major Highlights and Announcements
- The show kicked off with the new King of the Ring, Cody Rhodes, delivering an in-ring promo. He was soon interrupted by Randy Orton. Orton told Cody that he had earned his respect after their match at Night of Champions. Orton then asked Cody to promise to defeat John Cena at SummerSlam. Drew McIntyre interrupted, attempting to manipulate Orton and Cody against each other, but Orton hit McIntyre with an RKO out of nowhere.
- Backstage, Charlotte Flair had a conversation with General Manager Nick Aldis, who advised her to team up with Alexa Bliss to pursue the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Aldis offered Charlotte and Alexa a No. 1 Contender’s match against Secret Service and Michin & B-Fab. After some initial hesitation, Charlotte reluctantly agreed to team up with Alexa.
- Drew McIntyre requested a match against Randy Orton at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, 2025, from Nick Aldis. Aldis accepted the request, and the match is now official.
- WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made an appearance on this episode of SmackDown, accepting Tiffany Stratton’s challenge for a one-on-one match at the Evolution 2 premium live event.
- A match between R-Truth and Aleister Black was announced for the following week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
- After the main event, Jacob Fatu attempted to put Solo Sikoa through the announce desk, but Hikuleo (Talla Tonga) came to Solo’s rescue. Tonga Loa followed, and together with Solo, the trio turned the tables. They destroyed Jacob Fatu with a Shield-style Triple Powerbomb. The show ended with Solo and his Bloodline faction standing tall inside the ring.
