The pre-taping was done to allow WWE NXT talent and management to take a well-deserved break to spend the U.S. Independence Day week with their family and friends.

WWE NXT July 1, 2025 Major Highlights and Announcements
- Luca Crusifino came to the ring and called out Tony D’Angelo. D’Angelo addressed his post-match actions from last week’s NXT Heritage Cup. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo appeared at the entrance ramp and engaged in banter with both D’Angelo and Crusifino. Crusifino then attacked D’Angelo. Stacks entered the ring, seemingly to assist Crusifino, but Crusifino laid out Stacks and left the ring, declaring he’s on his own side.
- Following an in-ring altercation between Fatal Influence and Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe, WWE NXT General Manager Ava Raine announced a tag team match between Grace & Monroe and Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley) for NXT Great American Bash (2025).
- Yoshiki Inamura vs. Oba Femi for the WWE NXT Championship was announced for WWE NXT Great American Bash (2025).
