by Earlier today we have witnessed the worst SmackDown episode of year 2020 thanks to the newly begin Bruce Pichard era as it seems the women devolution has already been started with a Karaoke showdown between SD female stars tonight also we saw an embarrassing opening segment featuring Jeff Hardy on the Miz TV. Two matches ended in a no contest out of the four that has happened tonight and we have also watched a replay of Wyatt vs Bryan match from MITB 2020 which was included on this show as a time filler.
WWE SmackDown 11 July 2020 Winners and Losers
1. The Miz w/ Morrison vs. Jeff Hardy Singles Match
Winner– Jeff Hardy
Loser– The Miz
The Miz counters Jeff Hardy’s Twist of Fate attempt with a DDT. Miz lands the it kicks. Hardy kicks out. Hardy surprises Miz with a jawbreaker. Hardy lands the Hardy flurry. Miz kicks out of Hardy’s splash attempt. Sheamus appears on the screen and says he is having a pint for Hardy. Miz rolls up Hardy. Hardy reverses Miz’s roll up with one of his own for the win.
2. Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss Tag Team Match
Winners – Sasha Banks and Bayley
Losers – Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss
As Bayley and Sasha Banks berates Michael Cole, Alexa Bliss lands a baseball slide that takes them both out. After the break, Bayley stuns Bliss on the apron. Bliss kicks out. Banks and Bayley take turns working over Bliss. Bliss manages to tag in Nikki Cross. Cross clears the ring. Cross tornado DDTs Banks. Bayley rolls up Cross after tagging herself in. Cross kicks out. Banks sends Bliss into the barricade. Cross wrecking ball dropkicks Banks while she is outside the ring. Bayley rolls Cross up and puts her feet on the ropes for the win.
3. Lacey Evans vs. Naomi Singles Match
Winner – No Contest
Loser – No Contest
During this match both Dana Brooke and Tamina were standing at ringside. Lacey Evans and Naomi both were wrestling without shoes. Evans chokes Naomi with her dress. Naomi kicks Evans in the face. Evans drops like a sack of bricks. Evans rolls out of the ring. Brooke tells Evans to suck it up because she lost. Evans decks Tamina. A brawl breaks out with all four women. The referee throws the match out.
4. The New Day (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro Tag Team Match
Winner – No Contest
Loser – No Contest
Shinsuke Nakamura hits a reverse explorer on Kofi Kingston. Big E. breaks up the pin. Big E. is dumped to the outside. Kingston tries to fight off Cesaro and Nakamura. Big E. gets back in the ring. A brawl between all four men breaks out. The referee throws the match out. After the match, Cesaro pulls a table from under the ring. Cesaro and Nakamura powerbomb Kingston off the top rope onto Big E., who is laying on the table.
WWE SmackDown 11 July 2020 All Segments Updates
1. The episode starts with MIZ segment, Miz and Morrison made fun of Jeff Hardy. Hardy joins them in the ring. Miz apologizes for what Morrison said about him. Miz says he knows that Hardy has a clip he wanted them to show. Hardy says he has no idea what he is talking about. Miz shows a highlight reel that highlights Hardy’s recent failures. Miz and Morrison started making fun of Hardy for being a loser. Miz says Hardy is his daughter’s favorite wrestler. Miz says he doesn’t want his daughter to put faith in someone who is going to self-destruct again. Hardy asks if they are done. Morrison asks Hardy if he is ok. Hardy says he is fine and it’s going to take more than taunts from Sheamus to make him fall again. Miz suggests that Hardy have a rematch with Sheamus in a bar fight… you know, since that’s the place Hardy is most comfortable. Hardy asks if Sheamus out them up to this. Hardy says he is never going back to where he was. Hardy is going to beat Sheamus in a bar fight. Hardy promises to never let us down again. Hardy asks Miz to tell Sheamus he accepts. Hardy wants a match with Miz or Morrison tonight. Hardy attacks Morrison and Miz. Hardy clotheslines Morrison over the top while Miz escapes.
2. Backstage, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura scoff at Sarah’s question about pulling off an upset tonight. Cesaro says he is sick of New Day. Nakamura says we are going to have NEW tag team champions.
3. As Sasha Bankss and Bayley were walking down to the ring Nikki Cross jumps on Bayley’s back.
4. Backstage, Kofi Kingston and Big E. says that they know exactly who they are fighting and they are not underestimating Nakamura and Cesaro.
5. At Karaoke Showdown, Jey Uso is the MC for the competition. Lacey Evans vs. Dana Brooke vs. Naomi vs. Tamina. Evans is up first and she is going to sing “With My Baby Tonight” by Jeff Jarrett… or Road Dogg, depending on who you ask. Evans does a halfway decent job even though she actually doesn’t seem to know most of the words. Brooke is up next. She sings the Honkey Tonk Man’s theme. Poorly. She does some.. um… dancing? along with the song. Jey says she is bad as she gets to that lyric, Jey cuts her off. Tamina is up next. Tamina is singing “The Game” by Motorhead. Tamina starts headbanging and Jey stops her before she hurts herself. Naomi sings Dusty Rhodes’ theme “Common Man Boogie”. Naomi does ok. Naomi wins the fan vote. Evans gets upset and knocks Naomi over. Evans and Naomi start throwing their shoes at each other. Jey tries to hold them apart but that ends poorly.
6. Backstage, AJ Styles says he has beaten everyone and no one deserves a shot at the IC title. Sarah tells Styles that he has to defend the title next week against Matt Riddle. Styles is incredulous. Styles retorts, “who has Riddle ever beaten?” Sarah replies that Riddle beat Styles, so him? Styles says it doesn’t matter. Riddle won’t win when he doesn’t have the entire SmackDown roster at his back.
