- The show kicked off with the new WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi delivering an in-ring promo, gloating about her victory at the Evolution (2025) PLE the previous night. She was soon interrupted by Rhea Ripley, followed by IYO SKY. The segment concluded with Adam Pearce announcing a triple threat match for SummerSlam featuring all three women.
- Becky Lynch will defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam 2025.
