The June 9, 2026 episode of WWE NXT focused on the build-up toward NXT Great American Bash. Two number one contender matches took place on the show, determining the next challengers for the NXT Men’s Championship and the NXT Women’s Championship.
Additionally, Fraxiom faced the far less experienced tag team of Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar in a tag team match. By the end of the bout, Romeo and Noam shared a heartfelt moment of respect with the experienced duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
The first-ever Mr. NXT Pageant also took place during the show. Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels competed in three different categories, and Shiloh was declared the winner through live public voting via a QR code.
In the main event of the evening, Zaria challenged NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley in a one-on-one match.
