The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri gets Y category security amidst life threat concerns – Full Details

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the man who shook the whole Indian film Industry with his brilliant directorial masterpiece titled The Kashmir Files has been reportedly provided with Y Category security alongside CRPF cover by Central Government. There were reports recently that there are some serious life threats concerns to Mr. Agnihotri and taking suo moto cognizance of these concerns the Modi-Shah government has decided to give special security cover to him.

Last month right before the release of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri had deactivated his Twitter account and later on he stated that he was receiving continuous death threats which were mentally disturbing for him.

This is definitely a welcoming step by the Modi-Shah government and needs to be appreciated but also at the same time its a big concern because in a big country like India which is also the largest democracy in the world, a filmmaker has to be given special security cover just because he made a film revealing some hardcore truths. Well its quite shameful and ironically the so called freedom of speech brigade is not raising their voice against it.
