Vivek Agnihotri’s reality based Hindi film The Kashmir Files has successfully entered the ₹ 100 crores movies club now as the blockbuster venture has made a collection of ₹ 19.15 crores on the 2nd Friday of its release. Quite surprisingly this is the highest single day collection of this film since its release and if the similar trend continued for next couple of days then very soon it will reach ₹ 150 crores mark as well. After the first 8 days the overall Indian box office collection of The Kashmir Files stands at ₹ 116.45 crores.
Currently The Kashmir Files is running on around 4000 screens across India and its a big achievement for this movie as when it firstly got released on 11 March 2022, at that time only 600 screens were being allotted to this film. Advance booking for this Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty starrer is also quite good for the next couple of days due to weekend and festival holidays. The Kashmir Files is also getting dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam versions right now and when those versions will release on theatres then its box office collection will rise even further.
Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Paandey was also released yesterday and The Kashmir Files faced direct competition from the big budget comic-action film but despite of all Akshay’s star power and big money promotions still it looks like that The Kashmir Files is winning the race. Director Vivek Agnihotri has already been provided with Y category security after the massive success of this movie as she has delivered true facts in this film.
On Saturday, 19 March 2022, most of the morning, noon and evening shows of The Kashmir Files were housefull in Jammu, Delhi NCR, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. Even in the Maharashtra belt this film is doing amazingly well and somewhat dominated Bachchan Paandey on Saturday too. Overall occupancy rate of this film on Saturday was recorded around 70% – 90% which is absolutely fantastic.
Ninth Day collection of The Kashmir Files at Indian box office is ₹ 24.80 crores
