by On the occasion of Rakshabandhan 2025, two sibling pairs appeared as special guests on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 Episode 8. Sisters Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty were joined by the brother-sister duo of Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem on Kapil Sharma’s popular comedy chat show.
Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh once again occupied the judges’ hot seats. Kapil Sharma, along with his talented group of comedians—including Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, and Krushna Abhishek—had the audience in splits with their witty gags and punchlines. The Rakshabandhan special episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 is set to air on Netflix on August 9, 2025.
The episode began with host Kapil Sharma making a grand entrance on stage. He remarked upon the preciousness of sibling relationships and warmly welcomed Shilpa & Shamita Shetty and Huma Qureshi & Saqib Saleem to the stage.
Shilpa Shetty complimented Kapil on his weight loss, noting that he had lost nearly half his weight. Kapil responded humorously, saying he learned from Shilpa because she seems to be getting younger, which made Shilpa laugh heartily.
Saqib Saleem arrived with an unusually large Rakhi, prompting Kapil to joke, “Will I have to do a belly dance if I wear this?” Saqib clarified that it was a Rakhi, and the banter continued.
Kapil asked Shilpa whether her younger sister, Shamita, shares everything with her. Shilpa replied that Shamita only hides details about her boyfriend, to which Shamita interjected that she no longer does. Shilpa teased, “That’s because you don’t have a boyfriend right now.” Kapil cheekily asked Shamita, “But you’re sure you like men?” to which Shamita replied, “Of course!” This playful exchange made Shilpa laugh out loud.
Huma Qureshi recounted a funny experience from a party she attended with Saqib, where he began checking out a girl. Huma’s humorous dilemma—“If Saqib leaves with her, what will I do alone at the party?”—led her to flirt with her brother in front of the girl, playfully saying, “Hi, baby! Let’s go somewhere.”
Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover took the stage dressed as fake Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, delighting everyone with their comedy and jokes. Krushna even poked fun at Shilpa’s yoga routines.
Kapil Sharma directed a joke toward Huma Qureshi’s mother, who was seated in the audience, confessing that he once had a crush on Huma. After years of waiting, Kapil joked, he finally married someone else. Huma’s mother replied that her daughter sees Kapil as a brother and he should respect that. Kapil then whispered jokingly to Huma, “Your mother is a real goon.”
Sunil Grover returned on stage, this time dressed as a girl, and asked Shamita, “What qualities do you want in a boyfriend?” Shamita answered, “He should be tall, handsome, and intelligent.” Shilpa teased her sister, saying, “But you don’t care much about intelligence—you just like the body.”
Kapil Sharma praised Shilpa’s beautiful social media photos, prompting Navjot Singh Sidhu to suggest captioning them with “Apsara” (angel from heaven). Kapil humorously remarked that Sidhu, too, flirts with women, but indirectly.
The episode concluded with Kapil expressing Rakshabandhan wishes and thanking Shilpa, Shamita, Huma, and Saqib for coming on the show.
