Episode 8 of Shark Tank India Season 5 featured pitches from a fat-free, high-protein peanut butter brand, a brand that sells products for hair makeup, and a fascinating pitch from a doctor who has developed a device that can help cure paralysis. Pitch 1: MYPB
- Brand Type: Fat-Free High Protein Peanut Butter Powder

A Gujarati founder from Amreli pitched his brand, MYPB, which specializes in making high-protein, fat-free peanut butter powder. He offered samples of his product made from the powdered form, which the sharks appreciated for its taste.
Viraj Bahl, however, pointed out that removing healthy fats from peanut butter could make it less nutritious. Pujan then explained how he came up with the idea for powdered peanut butter.
The brand is marketed as “authentic American peanut butter,” which the sharks found slightly misleading. Pujan revealed that he has invested ₹1 crore in the business so far. Most customers use his peanut butter in smoothies, and the brand’s sales come 50% from Amazon, 48% from its own website, 1% from Flipkart, and 1% from Blinkit.

Dr. Parag Gad, an innovator who has conducted pilot studies in neuromodulation, pitched his device XStep, which helps patients suffering from paralysis and spinal cord-related conditions. He even gave a live demo on stage with Vineeta Singh as a participant, impressing all the sharks. The device activates nerves to stimulate muscle movement.
Dr. Parag showcased case studies of patients who benefited from XStep, and Viraj Bahl praised him, saying, “God bless you.” Dr. Parag mentioned they’ve successfully treated around 60 patients with cerebral palsy and that the device also helps with seizures. The product is priced at ₹3 lakhs per unit.

Two founders from Gurugram pitched their brand Truth & Hair, which specializes in hair beauty products. Vineeta Singh mentioned that she has known Saumya for the past 4–5 years. Saumya and Shailesh, a husband-wife duo, shared their journey and how they built the brand.
The sharks loved the packaging, and Saumya explained their R&D process. The brand launched in February 2024 and started selling products from April 2024. Their flagship product is the Hair Mascara.
They shared their sales and revenue figures, mentioning that they are currently running at a loss and have invested around ₹1.5–2 crores so far. They aim to position Truth & Hair as a beauty brand and plan to launch three new products: hair glitter, dry shampoo, and hair gloss.
