The periodic action British era drama has grossed $10.37 million in the opening 5 days and looking at the ongoing wave of this film in the various big cities of USA, it seems that this film will manage to somewhere between $20 million – $25 million from its lifetime biz at USA box office only. Currently RRR is giving tough competition to big Hollywood films like The Lost City and The Batman at USA Box office and just the last weekend this film has even topped the Global box office charts which indicates that the ongoing rampage of this movie at the Overseas box office is not going to slow down anytime soon.
The Batman has been made with a budget of $15 crores while The Lost City has been made with a budget of $7.4 crores but the S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has been made with only a budget of ₹ 550 crores but still this Indian film is giving neck to neck competition to the two budget Hollywood blockbusters at the Global box office.
People got stunned when they got to know that RRR left behind Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ at the Australia box office during its pre-release screenings but now it seems that was not a fluke at all and this film deserves all the love, appreciation and money which it is receiving.
Currently RRR is running at around 2500 screens in the overseas cinemas and a huge share of these screens have been allotted to North American and European countries which includes USA, Canada, UK, Sweden, Finland, and Poland.
Day 6 overall occupancy rate of RRR in USA has been estimated around 40% – 50% and in Canada it was estimated around 55% – 65% which is quite wonderful. Although Canada is getting way better occupancy because of huge numbers of Indians and especially Punjabis living there but USA is proving out to be the more profitable market for RRR because of the overall geographical area and population.
