WWE Superstar Liv Morgan was injured during the June 16, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW when her shoulder was dislocated while competing in a one-on-one match against Kairi Sane.
Since Liv Morgan’s shoulder injury, fans have been concerned about the future of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, as Liv is reportedly out of action for several months. It seems we finally have a concrete answer to these concerns.
According to a recent report by PWInsider, Raquel Rodriguez (the other half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions) will continue to hold the title while Liv is sidelined due to her shoulder injury. WWE bookers are planning to replace Liv with Roxanne Perez.
This arrangement seems promising, as something similar was done by WWE creative a couple of years ago when Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville became the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Soon after their title win, Sonya was injured and replaced by Piper Niven as the other half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Chelsea.
This temporary arrangement could also open up possibilities for a future feud between Liv and Roxanne. We might see round two of Liv Morgan’s Revenge Tour upon her return, and a WrestleMania 42 match between the two is quite possible.
If you’re a Roxanne Perez fan, this news will likely excite you, as this will be the first time the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion holds a title on the main roster.
