The Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone starrer film has broken the day 1 Indian box office income record of KGF 2 and with this it has become very evident that the Bollywood industry has been revived once again.
Pathaan shattered all previous Indian box office records of day 1 income despite getting a non Holiday release but we can definitely say that the advance booking and the hype created due to the controversies related to its song Besharam Rang has helped it a lot to generate this massive number on the opening day.

On the second day i.e. Thursday, 26 January 2023, Pathaan witnessed a massive jump in its overall occupancy rate in the cinema halls and the Republic Day holiday is the major reason behind it. Youngsters and middle aged people especially couples are showing a lot of interest in this film and female fans of King SRK were seen fighting at the ticket windows to buy its tickets, which clearly shows that the kind of stardom of King Khan enjoys.
Even in South Indian markets of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, 90% shows of Pathaan went housefull on Day 2 and some die hard Yash, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR fans were seen calling this film a bigger blockbuster then KGF 2 and RRR. Only time will tell that whether Pathaan manages to overtake the lifetime box office collections of KGF 2 and RRR or not but as of now, we can definitely say that its on the right track.
From the Hindi versions on Day 2, Pathaan made a collection of Rs 57 crores INR and the North & Central Indian belts of Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra contributed the most in these numbers. As far as Pathaan’s Tamil and Telugu versions are concerned, on day 2 in the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana combined, Pathaan has earned around Rs 11 crores INR.
