by The first episode of MTV Splitsvilla 16 (Pyaar Ya Paisa) aired on January 9, 2026, and featured the introduction of 16 contestants (boys and girls) who entered the Pyaar Villa, with hosts Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone having fun interactions with the new Splitsvillains.
During episode 1, a Pick Your Love Potion game was played in which the Pyaar Villa girls were given heart lockets to give to the boys they wanted to pair up with in the Pyaar Villa, and there was also a shocking twist at the end of the episode concerning the three boys who received the most lockets.
The episode started with the arrival of hosts Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone, who revealed that this time Splitsvilla is not going to be just like the last 15 seasons, as there will be two villas, Pyaar Villa and Paisa Villa, where love will give power while money will snatch it away and people and emotions will be tested throughout the show. Then Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma arrived as the Mischief Makers of this season and welcomed viewers to the wildest and craziest Splitsvilla ever.
Girls then started arriving one by one in the Pyaar Villa, and these are the names of the 8 girls who entered the villa:
- Akanksha Choudhary
- Sadhaaf Shankar
- Anjali Schmuck
- Soundharya Shetty
- Anisha Shinde
- Diksha Pawar
- Simran Khan
- Suzzane
The girls in the Pyaar Villa received a scroll from Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra telling them that they hoped the girls were excited for what was coming, to turn up the heat and enjoy as they would arrive soon. All the girls started dancing and enjoying themselves, after which hosts Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone made their entrance and joined them.
Karan and Sunny asked the Pyaar Villa girls about the kind of guy they are looking for, and the girls started describing their type. Sunny also talked about her relationship with her husband Daniel Weber, and Anjali started mocking Soundharya by calling her a red flag during the conversation with the hosts.
Pick Your Love Potion Game
The hosts then played a Pick Your Love Potion game with the girls in the Pyaar Villa, where different types of love potions were placed on a table and each represented a different boy; whichever love potion a girl picked, she would be paired with the boy represented by that potion.
Here are the love potion choices of the eight Pyaar Villa girls as they revealed their favourite potion:
- Anjali Schmuck – Wise Choice
- Anisha Shinde – Baller Jam
- Diksha Pawar – Wise Choice
- Akanksha Choudhary – Curly Kick
- Suzzane – Curly Kick
- Soundharya Shetty – Love on the Rocks
- Sadhaaf Shankar – Good Times on Tap
- Simran Khan – Curly Kick
After that, the girls were given three lockets each and were told to select three boys each based on the DMs the boys had sent them through letters. Some flying drones then arrived with letters, the girls picked them up and started reading the letters, which mentioned the potion names of the boys who had written them.
The girls loved the Curly Kick and Baller Jam boys’ DMs the most, and then the boys representing those two love potions arrived:
- Chakshdeep Singh (Baller Jam)
- Yogesh Rawat (Curly Kick)
Yogesh and Chakshdeep then introduced themselves to the girls; Yogesh was revealed to be a former MTV Roadies Double Cross contestant, while Chakshdeep introduced himself as a professional footballer and content creator. Yogesh tried to impress the girls by showing his talent and skills with jumps and cartwheels, and then both Yogesh and Chakshdeep danced, did push-ups, and even did “dumbbell lifts” by carrying the girls in their arms.
The girls were then told to give their heart lockets to the guy they liked more between Chakshdeep and Yogesh, after which the boys would make that girl drink their love potion while she gave them the locket. These were the girls’ choices:
- Anjali Schmuck gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Anisha Shinde gives her heart locket to Chakshdeep Singh
- Akanksha Choudhary gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Diksha Pawar gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Simran Khan gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Soundharya Shetty gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Suzzane gives her heart locket to Yogesh Rawat
- Sadhaaf Shankar does not give any heart locket to either Yogesh or Chakshdeep
Then some more flying drones came with photographs of the boys’ body parts, with the names of the love potions representing them written on the photos, and the girls started looking at the photos as the hosts asked which two photos they thought were the best. The girls liked the Smile (Wise Choice) and Ambition on Ice (Eyes) photographs the most, while the most disliked photo was the Abs photograph (Kiss of Chaos).
Finally, the boys representing the Good Times on Tap, Ambition on Ice, and Love on the Rocks love potions arrived:
- Sorab Bedi (Good Times on Tap)
- Anuj Sharma (Love on the Rocks)
- Tayne De Villiers (Ambition on Ice)
Anuj Sharma did a cute dance with Soundharya Shetty to impress her, while Sorab Bedi impressed the girls by singing a Punjabi song. Tayne De Villiers introduced himself to the girls as a professional fighter, taught them some MMA moves, and even did a dance with Anisha Shinde, which made Chakshdeep jealous as he watched them.
Tayne De Villiers and Sorab Bedi then had an arm-wrestling competition, and Tayne easily defeated Sorab, which shocked most of the girls watching.
The girls were then told to give their heart lockets to the guy they liked the most among Sorab, Tayne, and Anuj, and again the boys made the girls drink their love potions while receiving the lockets. These were the girls’ choices:
- Anjali Schmuck does not give any heart locket to either Anuj, Tayne, or Sorab
- Anisha Shinde gives her heart locket to Tayne De Villiers
- Diksha Pawar gives her heart locket to Tayne De Villiers
- Akanksha Choudhary does not give any heart locket to either Anuj, Tayne, or Sorab
- Suzzane does not give any heart locket to either Anuj, Tayne, or Sorab
- Soundharya Shetty gives her heart locket to Anuj Sharma and Tayne De Villiers
- Sadhaaf Shankar gives her heart lockets to Sorab Bedi and Tayne De Villiers
- Simran Khan gives her heart locket to Tayne De Villiers
Then the remaining three boys came to the Pyaar Villa representing the Wise Choice, Sunshine and Sin, and Kiss of Chaos love potions:
- Ayush Sharma (Wise Choice)
- Harshit Gururani (Kiss of Chaos)
- Himanshu Arora (Sunshine and Sin)
Harshit Gururani tried to impress Anisha Shinde with a high jump, which was quite impressive, while Himanshu showcased his strength by doing single-arm lifts while carrying Anisha in his arm. Ayush impressed the girls by doing push-ups and a handstand.
Once again, the girls were told to give their heart lockets to the guy they liked the most among Himanshu, Ayush, and Harshit, and the boys made the girls drink their love potions while receiving the lockets. These were the girls’ choices:
- Anjali Schmuck gives heart lockets to both Himanshu Arora and Harshit Gururani
- Anisha Shinde gives her heart locket to Harshit Gururani
- Diksha Pawar gives her heart locket to Himanshu Arora
- Akanksha Choudhary gives her heart locket to Himanshu Arora
- Suzzane gives her heart locket to Himanshu Arora
- Simran Khan gives her heart locket to Ayush Sharma
- Soundharya Shetty gives her heart locket to Himanshu Arora
- Sadhaaf Shankar gives her heart locket to Himanshu Arora
Himanshu Arora, Yogesh Rawat, and Tayne De Villiers received the most heart lockets from the girls, and it was announced that all three of them are safe from the first elimination of MTV Splitsvilla Season 16. It was also revealed that one of these three boys will get an opportunity to go in front of the Oracle to see if they are an ideal match, but they will only be able to partner with a girl who has given them a locket.
After the Pick Your Love Potion game ended, all the boys and girls went inside the Pyaar Villa, where Yogesh Rawat was seen telling Sorab Bedi in the room that he finds Anjali Schmuck very fit and athletic and wants to pair up with her because he wants to win the show.
Soundharya Shetty was seen telling Anuj Sharma that she wants him to stand up for her whether they pair up in the villa or not, while Anisha Shinde told Chakshdeep that she finds him quite attractive but wants him to explore other options in the villa.
Himanshu was shown having a private conversation with Diksha and Akanksha, after which he was seen lifting Diksha with one arm. Yogesh looked a bit annoyed with how Simran Khan was chasing after him and said that he was getting a “bro vibe” from her rather than a romantic connection.
Yogesh then had a conversation with Akanksha and told her that he finds her very pretty and that she is his type of girl, while Akanksha told Yogesh that he is exactly her type of guy and that is why she gave him a heart locket. Sadhaaf Shankar also had a conversation with Tayne, and she felt an instant connection with him.
This marked the end of episode 1 of MTV Splitsvilla 16 (Pyaar Ya Paisa), with the Pyaar Villa Splitsvillains still unaware of the fact that there is another villa named Paisa Villa, where 16 more contestants and two wild Mischief Makers will cause trouble.
Next Episode Precap: In episode 2 of MTV Splitsvilla 16 (Pyaar Ya Paisa), viewers will see male and female contestants entering the Paisa Villa, where they will be confronted by Mischief Makers Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma. Fights break out between the Paisa Villa contestants as Nia and Uorfi are seen giving them deals to choose between love or money.
