Episode 20 of MasterChef India Season 9 began with all the five bottom pairs entering the MasterChef kitchen wearing their black aprons, where they were welcomed by the three judges. Chef Vikas Khanna then announced the Pressure Test Challenge, at the end of which one more pair would be eliminated, and the top 10 would be revealed.
Vikas Khanna’s Pressure Test Challenge Details
In Chef Vikas Khanna’s Pressure Test Challenge, all the bottom five pairs had to create a replica of a signature dish made by Vikas Khanna. The dish was titled Winter Feast (Sardiyon Ki Daavat). Four pairs would join the other six safe pairs after the challenge, while the pair that made the weakest replica dish would be eliminated.

- Time limit: 2 hours
- Ingredients and recipe provided at each pair’s counter
- MasterChef’s world-class pantry remained closed
- Top four pairs were safe, while the pair with the weakest replica dish was eliminated

The five pairs from the losing team of the Restaurant Takeover Challenge (in the previous episode) participated. Their names were as follows:

- Vishnu Purohit and Harshini Purohit
- Venu Sharma and Avni Sharma
Note: Before the Pressure Test began, the judges offered Venu Sharma and Avni Sharma the chance to use their immunity pin, which would have allowed them to skip the challenge and avoid elimination. However, Venu and Avni chose not to use it and decided to compete.
