by Episode 14 of MasterChef India Season 9 focused on the team service challenge between SaiSri and Simran’s teams. Special guests Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavna Pandey were seen enjoying a feast of a 7-dish wedding buffet prepared by both teams. There were also some additional guests who joined in, sampling the delicious food and helping judge the contestants’ creations.
All three judges (Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and Chef Kunal Kapur) were seen rewarding both teams with golden envelopes during this episode. In the end, the team that received the most votes became safe from this week’s elimination.
The episode began with the continuation of The Great Indian Wedding Buffet team service challenge, where SaiSri’s team (Team Purple) and Simran’s team (Team Yellow) prepared their dishes within the allotted two-hour time limit. Throughout the challenge, the judges, along with guests Chunky and Bhavna Pandey and host Paritosh Tripathi, observed the contestants at their respective counters one by one.
Dishes Prepared by Both Teams
Both teams gave their wedding menus creative names, Team Purple’s menu was titled “Band Baaja Baarat”, while Team Yellow’s was called “Aaoji Khaaoji.” Below are the dishes included in their respective menus:

- Starters: Prawns Kolivada Twist
- Non-Veg Main Course: Safed Chicken
- Veg Main Course: Paneer Pasanda

- Breads: Dulha Dulhan Roti and Thecha Roti
- Dessert: Ramphal Ice Cream, Blueberry Sponge, and Choco Paan
Team Yellow – Aaoji Khaaoji Menu
- Live Counter: Veg Khaao Soup and Style Dumplings
- Starters: Desi Chicken Bhaaoji
- Veg Main Course: Veg Thai Thecha Kofta
- Non-Veg Main Course: Punjabi Mutton Curry
- Rice: Khushka (Biryani Lite)
- Breads: Aloo Roti, Palak Paneer Paratha, and Masala Methi Puri
- Pickle: Garlic Chilli Pickle
- Dessert: Desi Tiramisu
Once both teams completed their dishes and the time was up, around 25 additional special guests (baraatis) entered the MasterChef kitchen. They, along with the three judges and special guests Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, tasted the dishes prepared by both teams and distributed envelopes to the team whose food they preferred.
Note: Each guest’s envelope (including Chunky and Bhavna’s) counted as 1 vote, while each judge had a golden envelope worth 2 votes.

Team Purple won The Great Indian Wedding Buffet team service challenge by a margin of 3 votes. All their team members (SaiSri, Chandana, Yasmin, Mehfooz, Archana, Rupali, Parvati, Himang, Venu, Avni, Deepali, and Jamuna) are safe from this week’s elimination.
Contestants in Danger of Elimination
After The Great Indian Wedding Buffet challenge, the following pairs of contestants are in danger of elimination:
- Simran and Himanshi
- Anshmeet Singh and Prabhdeep Kaur
- Kanchana Devi and Raksha Devi
- Vishnu Purohit and Harshani Purohit
- Anju Pradhan and Manju Ojha
These unsafe pairs will now compete in the Black Apron Challenge, and one of them will be eliminated from the show.
