In episode 62 of Laughter Chefs Season 3, celebrity contestants faced a major Khatra challenge. The pairs of Aly Goni & Jannat Zubair and Abhishek Kumar & Samarth Jurel lost their cooking platforms after preparing the worst dishes in the first cooking battle of the evening.
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi was absent from this episode due to work commitments in Japan. Host Bharti Singh handled the judging duties in his place and asked the contestants to prepare dishes such as Nooni Ghee, Pyaaz Lachha Parantha, and Dal Chawal.
Cooking Battle 1 – Nooni Ghee and Pyaaz Lachha Parantha
Host Bharti Singh tasked all celebrity pairs with cooking Haryana’s famous Nooni Ghee along with Pyaaz Lachha Parantha.
Criteria for Nooni Ghee and Pyaaz Lachha Parantha:
- Big Parantha (1 foot size)
- Good taste
- Bharti should say “Zubaan Ki Balle Balle” after tasting it
Winners:
- Karan Kundrra and Elvish Yadav
- Vicky Jain and Ankita Lokhande
Worst Dishes:
- Abhishek Kumar and Samarth Jurel
- Aly Goni and Jannat Zubair
As punishment for the worst performance, the cooking counters of Abhishek Kumar & Samarth Jurel and Aly Goni & Jannat Zubair were broken by construction workers. The two pairs had to cook while sitting on the floor in the next battle.
Cooking Battle 2 – Dal Chawal (Sushi Style)
In the second cooking battle, all contestants were asked to prepare Dal Chawal in Sushi Style.
Criteria for Sushi:
- 3 pieces
- Perfect Sushi Roll
- Rice and salad elements in the sushi
Criteria for Dal Bukhara:
- Creamy and rich texture
- Perfectly cooked
- Buttery taste
- Balanced spices
