Curry Barker’s directorial Hollywood blockbuster horror psychological thriller Obsession has finally received an OTT release in India, complete with a Hindi-dubbed option. This allows viewers who do not understand English to enjoy one of the strongest horror films of recent years.
The best part of Obsession’s OTT release in India is that it is available in its uncut form on digital streaming platforms, with no censor cuts. The theatrical release in India had some sexual and romantic scenes, as well as certain violent scenes, removed.
Storyline
Obsession centers on a magical artifact called the One Wish Willow. Whoever acquires it can fulfill one wish. The catch is that the wish is twisted into a terrifying experience so extreme that the wisher may end up begging for death.
A young man named Baron “Bear” Bailey has a serious crush on a girl named Nikki Freeman. He makes the mistake of wishing on the One Wish Willow that Nikki will fall in love with him more than anyone else. The wish turns into a nightmare when Nikki becomes intensely obsessed and possessive. She grows so extreme that she kills some of Bear’s close friends.
Will Bear manage to escape the One Wish Willow’s curse, and will Nikki ever return to normal? To find out, watch Obsession on digital streaming platforms.
Runtime
The film runs for approximately 109 minutes (1 hour 49 minutes).
