by Episode 39 of Laughter Chefs Season 3 was a fun Joint Family Special. The celebrity contestants were divided into two teams: Sharma Family and Lehri Family. They competed in team-based cooking battles. Members of the winning teams were rewarded with golden stars.
In this episode, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and host Bharti Singh tasked the contestants with preparing several complicated dishes: Sabudana Khichdi, Dardari Tamatar Chutney, Tulsi Adrak Chai, Sev Tamatar Sabji, Phulke, and Heart Shaped Fryums.

Both teams had to prepare popular Indian breakfast items: Sabudana Khichdi, Dardari Tamatar Chutney, and Tulsi Adrak Chai.
Criteria for Sabudana Khichdi:
- Soft Sabudana
- Peanut flavour
- Non-sticky texture
- Enough for the full family
Criteria for Dardari Tamatar Chutney:
- Tangy flavour
- Dardara (coarse) texture
- Well seasoned
Criteria for Tulsi Adrak Chai:
- Kadak (strong) chai
- Balanced flavour
- Perfect sweetness

Cooking Battle 2 – Sev Tamatar Sabji, Phulke and Heart Shaped Fryums
In the second round, the teams had to prepare a complete Family Thali consisting of Sev Tamatar Sabji, Phulke, and Heart Shaped Fryums.
Criteria for Sev Tamatar Sabji:
- Rassedaar and masaledaar gravy
- Crispy and soft sev
- Bright red colour of the tarri
Criteria for Phulka:
- At least one fully puffed phulka
- Minimum 5 inch size
Criteria for Heart Shaped Fryums:
- Crispy and crunchy
- Fully cooked
- Perfect heart shaped stand
Selected Participants for Market Run:
- From Sharma Family: Ankita, Jannat, and Krushna
- From Lehri Family: Tejasswi, Karan, and Sudesh Ji
While the contestants were busy cooking, the talented Mohan Sisters: Mukti Mohan, Shakti Mohan, and Neeti Mohan joined as special guests and added a lot of fun and entertainment to the episode.
