Despite the holiday excitement, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s morning occupancy fell short of expectations. However, it still managed to secure the position of the second-biggest opener of the year, trailing behind Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, which raked in an impressive Rs 24.6 crore on its debut.

Akshay Kumar labelled Bade Miyan Chote Miyan as a “Bad Boys-like film” during its trailer launch. The action-packed flick boasts a stellar cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, and Alaya F. Backed by producers Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, the film boasts a hefty budget exceeding Rs 300 crore.

While Maidaan received mostly positive reviews, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan seemed to have missed the mark with critics and audiences alike. Initial feedback hinted at a lukewarm response, indicating potential challenges ahead for its box office journey.

Despite a lacklustre start in terms of morning occupancy, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan managed to secure a respectable first-day collection of Rs 16.07 crore across all Indian languages. As the film navigates its theatrical run, it faces the task of overcoming initial hurdles to establish a strong presence at the box office.
