A huge controversy erupted on Lock Upp Season 2 when actress Akanksha Chamola revealed her past secret in front of hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan. She disclosed that she was bisexual before her marriage and is still very much attracted to women, as she greatly enjoys their company.
This revelation has raised a big question: Did Akanksha Chamola betray her husband Gaurav Khanna by hiding this truth from him before marriage?
It has already been revealed on the show that Akanksha and Gaurav are heading for divorce and have been living separately for the past one year. According to Akanksha, the main reason for their separation is Gaurav’s desire to have children, which she strongly opposes as she does not want it to affect her life.
While revealing her full story on the Lock Upp Season 2 Judgement Day episode on July 4, 2026, Akanksha told the hosts:
“I was bisexual before marriage. I had relations with some girls. They were not that intimate, but yes, I had been in a relationship with a few females. I like girls, I admire them, I get attracted to them, and I think that’s my safe space. While growing up, I felt the industry is very male-dominated. I received comfort from girls, I love that comfort zone, I love feminine energy, and I thrive in it. All females are beautiful, and you can give it whatever tag you want. For me, it’s pure love.”
It now appears that Akanksha kept this secret hidden from her husband Gaurav as well. This may also explain why she never wanted to have kids. If true, many feel she ruined his life by hiding such an important part of herself before marriage.
