Despite of the disastrous box office performance of Beast Hindi dubbed RAW in India, still the Nelson directorial Tamil action comedy film has made a box office collection of ₹ 95 crores in the first 5 days from its India biz. Only because of the huge stardom of Thalapathy Vijay who played the lead role of former RAW operative Veeraraghavan in Beast, this film has managed to mint this much of money otherwise the director and script writer ‘Nelson’ has done an extremely bad job with this film.
We also have the confirmation on the OTT release date of Beast now as it has been reported that the OTT rights of Beast are being bagged by Netflix India and Sun NXT OTT Platforms. On both these platforms Beast will release on 11 May 2022 which is exactly 4 weeks after its theatrical release but this seems like a wrong move as there won’t be any hype left for Beast till that date.
Made with a budget of ₹ 150 crores Beast will definitely earn some satisfactory profits in near future but it seems that the makers made a wrong move by releasing it in multiple languages and that too in the same week when much hyped Prashanth Neel’s KGF Chapter 2 got released in theatres.
Beast is the second big PAN India film which has been flopped this year at Box Office India as earlier Ajith Kumar’s Valimai also emerged as a big disaster. It evident that Indian audience is fed up of Bollywood’s remakes and senseless films but still its also a fact that there is no guarantee that every South Indian film will get a sure shot success in the Hindi belts of India.
Apart from the few circuits of Tamil Nadu, Beast has absolutely failed to make any impact today at Box Office India on Monday 18 April 2022. Beast Day 6 overall occupancy rate has been estimated around 20% – 25% which is extremely poor and there is no hope left for any growth in its local box office biz in the coming days.
6th Day (Monday) Collection of Beast in India is ₹ 5.40 crores (approximately)
