Attack (2022) Film First Day Collection in India – 1st April (Friday) Box Office Income Report

John Abraham, Rakul Preeta Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer sci-fi action thriller titled Attack has been released in theatres worldwide today. The Lakshya Raj Anand directorial film which revolves around the story of a super-soldier named Major Arjun Shergill has received mixed reviews from the critics and analysts. Even in our detailed review of Attack, we gave this film a rating of only 3 stars out of 5. There were many experts who were seen calling Attack a below average film in terms of overall content quality, production value and direction. John Abraham’s Bollywood career is at stake as far as the performance of Attack at box office is concerned because his previous film Satyameva Jayate 2 was a huge flop.

As far as the total screen count of Attack is concerned, well this film has been allotted around 2400 screens worldwide and out of these, in India this film is running on 1400 screens and other 1000 screens belongs to overseas cinemas. A huge chunk of screens in the Hindi belts of India are currently allotted to S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR and even The Kashmir Files is running on a massive no. of screens in Hindi regions, so unfortunately Attack has not been able to get satisfactory no. of screen across India’s single screens, multiplexes, and PVR’s.

Still there isn’t any concrete information on which OTT Platform John Abraham’s Attack will release and also about its TV Satellite rights because a lot depends on the first 2 weeks performance of this film at box office. If Attack failed to gross a satisfactory income in the opening two weeks then fans of John can expect this film to hit the OTT platforms sooner rather then later.

Attack has reportedly been made with a budget of ₹ 95 crores but still it won’t be easy for this Bollywood venture to recover this investment because RRR and TKF will give this movie very tough time both at Hindi and South Indian belts. Attack has not been promoted on a big scale as it seems that the makers doesn’t have much expectations from this Robocop style Bollywood film.

Recently in an interview actor John Abraham gave a controversial statement in which he stated that he will never do a Telugu movie like other Bollywood actors because he is a Hindi film hero and this statement by John has not went well with the South Indian audience. In many Southern regions of India people were seen boycotting Attack on Friday 1st April 2022 and it seems like this controversy sparked by John will hurt the overall collections of Attack in long term.

First Day (Friday) Collection of Attack in India is  ₹ 3.51 crores
