by PAN India sequel film KGF Chapter 2 is smashing box office records one after another as the Prashanth Neel directorial venture has gotten passed ₹ 750 crores collection mark through its Global biz. KGF 2 is currently targeting ₹ 1000 crores worldwide collection milestone and if this Kannada periodic action thriller managed to achieve it then this will the second India film of year 2022 to join the ₹ 1000 crores club. S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR has already grossed ₹ 1100 crores from its Global biz and KGF 2 makers are eying towards breaking its record in the coming weeks.
In the opening 8 days KGF 2 has made a box office collection of ₹ 268.63 crores and that too only from its Hindi dubbed version. Yesterday on 2nd Thursday i.e. 21 April 2022, KGF 2 made a earning of ₹ 13.58 from in the Hindi belts of India and if the upcoming weekend for this film went well then there are very high chances that it will end up collecting anywhere between ₹ 350 crores – ₹ 375 crores from its lifetime biz in the Hindi speaking regions of India.
Last week KGF 2 completely demolished Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast when both these film got clashed at box office India and now it seems that Shahid Kapoor & Mrunal Thakur starrer Bollywood film Jersey is also going to meet the same fate as today on Friday i.e. 22 April 2022, the B-town sports drama film got released on about 2450 screens across India and unfortunately KGF 2 completely side-lined it in the Hindi circuits.
KGF 2 producer Vijay Kiragandur has already earned more then 7 times then the amount of money that was being spent on its making. South Indian film industry is proving time and time again that it doesn’t matter that how much money has been spent in making a film as the only thing that matters is the overall; quality of content and that is why KGF 2 is currently ruling at box office India.
Overall occupancy rate of KGF 2 on Day 9 has been recorded around 47% – 53% which is absolutely mind boggling and as per trade analysts there are high chances that the business of this film will again pick up some great pace on the upcoming weekend, especially on Saturday and Sunday. So we can expect some big double digit collection numbers for KGF 2 in near future.
