Rules for the Match-off

  • Both shapewear brands would make their pitches one by one.
  • Each company would have 40 minutes to present its pitch.
  • After 35 minutes, the sharks could use the remaining 5 minutes to ask questions.
  • Deals would be offered only after both brands had presented.
  • Who pitched first was decided by a coin toss.

The toss for the match-off took place, and the founders of Krvvy won the toss. They pitched first, while the Invogue founders waited outside the tank for their turn.

They presented detailed revenue and sales data, revealing that shapewear contributes 42% to their revenue, accessories 5%, bras 33%, and their innerwear range 15%.

After their pitch, the sharks cleared their doubts with Anant and Yash before the Krvvy founders stepped out of the tank, making way for Invogue’s pitch.

Pitch 2: Invogue

Ask: ₹50 lakh for 1.25% equity

The two 25-year-old founders, Ragini and Maadhav, pitched their shapewear brand Invogue, which offers innerwear, shapewear, body shapers, tummy tuckers, and bras. They provided product samples and discussed pricing with the sharks.

During introductions, Maadhav and Ragini mentioned that they have been dating for the past eight years, which amused the sharks. The panel complimented Ragini on her strong brand promotion skills.

The duo shared their revenue figures, surprising the sharks with a positive EBITDA of 22%. They also revealed that they recently signed Malaika Arora as their brand ambassador.

Offers Made to Both Companies

Offers for Krvvy:

  1. Namita Thapar: ₹1.2 crore for 3% equity
  2. Anupam Mittal: ₹2 crore for 5% equity

Final Deal:

  • Namita Thapar closed the deal at ₹1.2 crore for 3% equity.

Offers for Invogue:

  1. Aman Gupta: ₹2 crore for 20% equity
  2. Aman Gupta: ₹1 crore for 10% equity

Final Deal:

  • Aman Gupta sealed the deal at ₹2 crore for 15% equity.
