by The final battle between Team Kaanta and Team Chhuri took place in Episode 20 of Laughter Chefs Season 3, which aired on January 25, 2026. During this exciting episode, both teams put their team stars at stake in hopes of doubling them, and by the end, the winning team lifted the trophy.
Two cooking battles took place in Episode 20, with both teams tasked to prepare popular Indian dishes with a creative twist (Pani Puri and Malpua). The episode also ended with a special teaser about new celebrity contestants joining the show soon.

The episode began with host Bharti Singh entering the Laughter Chefs kitchen along with all the celebrity pairs and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi. Both teams, Kaanta and Chhuri, kicked off the day with a fun qawwali-style face-off, teasing and joking with each other. Soon after, Bharti announced a major twist.
Double or Nothing Twist: Total Stars at Stake
Abhishek Kumar from Team Kaanta and Isha Malviya from Team Chhuri were taken backstage by Bharti Singh. There, they were informed that they could double their team’s stars by putting them at stake, a risk that could change the game completely.
If either of their team members won the cooking battle, their staked stars would be doubled, and the team would also earn one additional star for winning.
- Isha Malviya put 5 Team Chhuri stars at stake.
- Abhishek Kumar put 4 Team Kaanta stars at stake.
Cooking Battle 1: XL Paani Puri
In the first cooking battle, all seven pairs from both teams were asked to prepare the popular Indian street food dish with a twist, the XL Paani Puri.
Criteria for XL Paani Puri:
- 2 pieces of Puri
- Minimum size: 6 inches
- Crunchy texture
- Perfect shape
- 2 innovative paani (flavoured water) variations
After the announcement, both teams began preparing extra-large Paani Puris with two creative flavoured waters. Once the cooking time ended, Chef Harpal tasted the XL Paani Puris at each station and delivered his judgment.

Chef Harpal praised the taste of the flavoured waters and the crunchiness of the Puris prepared by both the winning pairs. Appreciating their effort, he exclaimed, “Zubaan Ki Ho Gayi Balle Balle!” As a result, Team Kaanta earned 9 team stars, while Team Chhuri earned 11 team stars.
Cooking Battle 2: Star Malpua
In the second and final cooking battle, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi challenged both teams to prepare a traditional Indian dessert with a twist, called Star Malpua.
Criteria for Star Malpua:
- 2 perfect star-shaped Malpuas
- Minimum size: 5 inches
- Kesar (saffron) flavour
- Perfect sweetness
Bharti then announced which contestants would go on the pantry run to collect ingredients for the Star Malpua challenge.

After collecting ingredients, both teams began cooking their Star Malpuas, keeping in mind that this was the final battle for the season’s trophy. Once the cooking time ended, Chef Harpal tasted the dishes prepared by both teams and then announced the winners of the final challenge and the overall trophy.

Chef Harpal praised the performances and awarded three pairs from Team Chhuri and two from Team Kaanta as winners of the Star Malpua round. Consequently, Team Chhuri received 3 team stars, while Team Kaanta earned 2 team stars.
Since Team Kaanta’s final star count was two stars higher than Team Chhuri’s, they were declared the winners of Laughter Chefs Season 3’s Team Battle and were presented with the winning trophy. Additionally, each winning pair received a gift blanket from Signature Brand.

After presenting the trophy and rewards to Team Kaanta’s members, Bharti Singh announced that Laughter Chefs Season 3 would continue with new contestants, fresh criteria, and upcoming cooking battles in the following weeks.
She also revealed that Vivian Dsena, Isha Malviya, Eisha Singh, Gurmeet Choudhary, and Debina Bonnerjee would be leaving the show as Episode 20 marked their final appearance. From next week onwards, they’ll be replaced by Sudesh Lehri, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Arjun Bijlani, and Nia Sharma.
