- NXT General Manager Ava Raine and TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella jointly appointed Masha Slamovich as the special guest referee for the six-woman tag team match between The Elegance Brand and Fatal Influence later that night.
- During an in-ring promo segment, Blake Monroe interrupted Jordynne Grace, entering the ring with several security guards. Monroe warned Grace that if she laid a finger on her, their match at NXT Heatwave would be canceled. In typical babyface fashion, Grace proceeded to overpower all the security guards, then grabbed Monroe’s hand. Over Monroe’s microphone, Grace vowed: “At NXT Heatwave (2025), I’m going to show you what ugly really looks like.”
- In a USA/Canada Peace Treaty segment, Chelsea Green and Ethan Page, accompanied by Secret Hervice (representing Canada), entered the ring. Upon their arrival, Alba Fyre and Piper Niven tossed out the table placed inside the ring. Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights (representing the USA) then entered. The segment heated up until General Manager Ava Raine appeared and announced a mixed tag team match: Ethan Page & Chelsea Green vs. Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele at NXT Heatwave 2025. Following the announcement, all four competitors brawled in the ring. Tavion and Tyra put Ethan and Chelsea in ankle locks, but Alba and Piper helped Ethan and Chelsea escape, leaving Tavion and Tyra standing tall.
- Je’Von Evans became the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship by defeating Trick Williams.
