by Episode 1 of Patni Patni aur Panga Season 1, which aired on August 2, 2025, was an absolute laughter riot as all 7 celebrity couples were introduced by hosts Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre. Each couple went through a couple’s reality check on this grand premiere, but it was Debina Bonnerjee who completely stole the show with her funny remarks.
The episode started with hosts Munawar Faruqui and Sonali Bendre making their entrances. Munawar said he never thought that a boy like him from Dongri would one day host a reality show alongside Sonali Bendre. Munawar and Sonali nicknamed each other “Sonu” and “Monu,” and then they began introducing the couples for Season 1 of Patni Patni aur Panga.
The couples appeared in the following order:
- Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik
- Rocky Jaiswal and Hina Khan
- Sudesh Lehri and Mamta Lehri
- Milind Chandwani and Avika Gor
- Fahad Ahmad and Swara Bhasker
- Pawan Kumar and Geeta Phogat
- Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee
During their arrivals, all the couples gave introductions and shared stories about how they got married and proposed to each other. For example, Rubina said she was the one who proposed to Abhinav, and when she did, there was 20 seconds of pin-drop silence before he thanked her. Rocky said he had the feeling he was going to marry Hina 13 years ago when he first met her, but Hina initially hated him.
A reality check game was played between Abhinav & Rubina and Rocky & Hina. In this game, the guys had to become buzzers with their heads trapped in planks, while the ladies were asked questions about the men. If the ladies knew the answers, they had to spank the guys with bats, and whichever guy screamed the loudest would allow his wife to answer. One point was awarded for every correct answer. Abhinav and Rubina won this reality check game 2-1.
After Avika and Milind’s entry, another reality check game was played with them. Both had to sit on different seats while Rubina and Hina answered questions by guessing which scenario suited which person the most. Hina and Rubina made all the right guesses.
After the reality check game ended, Avika made a big announcement that she will marry Milind on Patni Patni aur Panga.
Fahad Ahmad and Swara Bhasker also played a reality check game upon their arrival, which was followed by a debate about who should be the ruler of the house—the husband or the wife. Both Fahad and Swara presented their points one by one, and the debate was won by Swara.
Sudesh Lehri had a funny interaction with his wife Mamta upon her arrival. He was seen apologizing for flirting with foreign girls on stage and then asked why she was happy seeing the bodies of the boys who came with her. Mamta said they were quite handsome. Mamta also told Sonali Bendre about how it felt to appear on TV for the first time. Mamta revealed that she married Sudesh at only 15 years old and conceived a son at 16.
Gurmeet and Debina made everyone laugh with their funny revelations upon their arrival. Munawar jokingly said he is ready to host the show without a fee because he is having so much fun. Pawan Kumar, on the other hand, impressed everyone with his cute answers, saying he can’t do anything without his wife Geeta.
A reality check game was also played between the teams of Gurmeet & Debina versus Pawan & Geeta. Gurmeet and Pawan stood at the top of the stairs while questions were asked to both couples. If the husband’s and wife’s answers matched, the husband could come down one step; if not, the wife got to hit her husband with a ball. The winning husband would give a rose to his wife.
The game was won by Pawan and Geeta, but the biggest highlight was Debina’s funny answers. She said Gurmeet’s family calls him by the nickname “Nunu,” and she also said Gurmeet plays rain music at night when she sleeps, making her feel wet in her dreams. This made everyone laugh a lot.
The episode ended with all the contestant couples standing alongside the hosts celebrating the grand premiere of Patni Patni aur Panga Season 1.
