During this episode of WWE SmackDown, a contract signing segment took place between the current Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, and his SummerSlam opponent, Cody Rhodes. Additionally, La Primera Stephanie Vaquer went one-on-one against Alba Fyre.
The new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship were also determined during this show, as Fraxiom, MCMG, DIY, and Rey Fenix & Andrade competed in a Fatal 4-Way match.

- Charlotte Flair defeated Raquel Rodriguez via pinfall. (Alexa Bliss was supporting Charlotte during this match from ringside, while Roxanne Perez was supporting Raquel.)
- Damian Priest defeated Aleister Black via disqualification.
- Stephanie Vaquer defeated Alba Fyre via pinfall.
- Andrade and Rey Fenix became the new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship by defeating DIY, MCMG, and Fraxiom in a Fatal 4-Way match. (Andrade pinned Tommaso Ciampa.)

- It was announced at the start of the show that Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez will defend their tag team titles against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam (2025).
- A pre-recorded video package aired in which Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill were seen talking about their upcoming match at SummerSlam (2025) against each other for the WWE Women’s Championship.
- Aleister Black interfered during the match between Damian Priest and Carmelo Hayes. Black tripped Priest from the top rope, causing a disqualification, and then entered the ring and hits Priest with a Black Mass.
- A weird video package featuring the Wyatt Sicks aired, which ended with Uncle Howdy saying, ‘All you have to do is follow.’
- Adam Pearce announced that Solo Sikoa will defend his WWE United States Championship against Jacob Fatu at SummerSlam (2025) inside a steel cage.
- Piper Niven tried to attack Stephanie Vaquer after Vaquer defeated Alba Fyre, but Vaquer shoved Niven out of the ring and ended up standing tall inside the ring.
- The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy) will defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against Andrade and Rey Fenix next week on SmackDown.
- During the Cody Rhodes and John Cena contract signing segment in the main event, Cena refused to sign the contract, saying he has to shoot a big movie for Netflix this summer, so Cody can have his WWE Undisputed Championship rematch at Clash in Paris or in Perth later this year. As soon as Cena left the ring, Cody took off his blazer, ran after him, and started brawling with him. Cody hits Cena with the title in the face and then puts Cena through a table with a splash from the top rope. Cody grabbed Cena’s hand and signed the contract to make their match at SummerSlam (2025) official.
- It was revealed during the main event contract signing segment by Cody Rhodes that John Cena will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against Cody in a Street Fight at SummerSlam (2025).
