by The Paramount Plus original web series Halo Season 2 was released worldwide on February 8, 2024, and the final episode of this video game adaptation-based show was streamed on the OTT platform on March 21, 2024. Unfortunately, fans in India who were eagerly waiting for the release of the second season of Halo will have to wait a bit further, as the science fiction drama will be released in the country at a later date.
Halo Season 2 was supposed to release in India on Jio Cinema OTT Platform on the same date as its worldwide release. However, it appears that the release has been postponed due to some technical issues.
Halo Season 1 was released in India on the Voot platform, and as we all know, Voot has been officially merged with the Jio Cinema platform. It was highly expected that Season 2 of Halo would be made available for online streaming on the Jio Cinema app and website.
Jio Cinema is currently in a tie-up with the Paramount Plus OTT service, and all their shows from the past and future will release on the Mukesh Ambani-owned platform. Jio Cinema even has a separate Paramount Plus hub on their platform.
Many fans have raised this issue on Jio Cinema’s social media handles by complaining about Halo Season 2 not being available in India, and all of them have received a common reply from the support team stating, “We do not have rights for Halo Season 2 on our platform.”
From what we have gathered from our inside sources, it seems that all the episodes of Halo Season 2 will release at once in India on the Jio Cinema platform, and that too with Hindi dubbing.
Impatient fans have to wait a bit longer, as the Halo Season 2 Hindi-dubbed version will officially release in India somewhere between August 2024 and September 2024.
