Cooking Battle 1 – Pyaaz Ki Kachori & Lassi Challenge

The first cooking challenge of the day required contestants to prepare Pyaaz Ki Kachori and Lassi within the given time.

Judging Criteria:

Pyaaz Ki Kachori – Must be crispy, with a flavourful onion stuffing.
Lassi – Should be so tasty that the person drinking it says “Burrrahhhh” in delight!

After the cooking time ended, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi tasted the dishes prepared by each pair:

  • Abhishek Kumar & Samarth Jurel – The kachoris had good texture and flavour balance but lacked crispiness. Their lassi tasted good, earning them a Chef Shabaashi.
  • Vicky Jain & Ankita LokhandeCrispy kachoris with well-balanced flavours and perfectly sweet kesar-flavoured lassi. They also received a Chef Shabaashi.
  • Rubina Dilaik & Rahul Vaidya – Some kachoris were slightly raw, though the onion filling was well-balanced. Their lassi was thick but a bit sour.
  • Krushna Abhishek & Kashmera Shah – The kachori dough was raw, and the filling was burnt. Their lassi was thick but lacked sweetness.
  • Sudesh Lehri & Mannara Chopra – Only one kachori was good, while the other two were raw. Their lassi was too sour.
  • Elvish Yadav & Abdu Rozik – The kachoris were raw, though the filling was flavourful and slightly sweet. Their lassi had perfect sweetness but was too watery.

Cooking Battle 2 – Bharwan Masala Bhindi & Butter Tandoori Roti Challenge

The second cooking battle required contestants to prepare Bharwan Masala Bhindi & Butter Tandoori Roti. Before the challenge, host Bharti Singh announced the contestants who would go to the market to collect ingredients:

  • Elvish Yadav & Abdu RozikFilling in the bhindi was underwhelming, and it wasn’t spicy enough. However, their Butter Tandoori Roti was well-made.
  • Sudesh Lehri & Mannara ChopraBhindi stuffing was too much, making the flavours confusing. Their Butter Tandoori Roti was good.
  • Krushna Abhishek & Kashmera ShahBhindi had an amazing flavour of Kasturi Methi & Besan, with the right amount of spice. Their Butter Tandoori Roti was perfect. Chef Harpal loved it and said, “Zubaan Ki Hogayi Balle Balle!”
